Why would they want a refund for their ticket? Did they ride any other ride. I don't see how CP didn't handle this well. They shut down the ride for a week, found the issue and made sure the cable wouldn't do this again. It sounds like somebody found a way to get money off of a major amusement park. They left out the fact of the injuries being very minor.
If they don't want those passes, I'll take them.

IMO Cedar Point (my fav place on Earth) dropped the ball in dealing with these "kids".
They should have given the kiddies season passes for this upcoming year and free parking and they more than likely would have let it alone and we wouldn't be hearing about this.
The old CP I knew would have at the very least given them return tickets for another day, not just front of the line passes.
I want to see Cedar Point's side of the story, they had to have offered them at least return tickets, don't you think? I don't think they would treat guests like that.
Season passes for the few of them that there were would have been more than sufficient, wouldn't have cost them a thing and made Cedar Point look great in the eyes of the public.

They walked off the ride. They deined a trip to the hospital. They got first aid care right away. CP did everything they were susposed to. The law doesn't state that CP must give people free tickets or season passes. They gave them a front of the line pass and they didn't even have to. They got over the tower didn't they?

Jeff, Walt, and POP World Media, I'm sueing. My eyesight has dropped to 25-20 due to what my doctor says is too much light to dark eye adjusting. You need to put a warning on your site telling people not to stare at the site in the dark.
In other news did anyone hear about the little boy that is getting sued for riding his bike in the Metroparks and running into some lady on rollerblades that didn't have a clue how to rollerblade. On the radio this morning I heard an interview with the lawyer. One of the funniest things I've heard in a while.
Nobody said they had to give them anything but they didn't deserve to be hit with metal shavings either way.
Giving them return tickets would have shut them up and the public would have gotten the usual "warm and fuzzy" feeling upon hearing once again how Cedar Point went above and beyond expectations. How great Cedar Point is because they treated those kids so well even though they didn't have to do a thing for them.
Now we are going to have to hear CP's name dragged through the media where they are desperate for a "juicy" story. I can just hear channel 19 now.

Or when the man sued CP when he got rear-ended on the Antique Cars.
I think suing for pain and suffering at least in this case is a joke
