Ride Photo...

Hello everyone! Last Monday I just got hired for the first time. I'm excited... but I do have a questions or two... I will be working ride photo and I was wondering if anyone here has ever done that or if they know anyone who has? I was just wondering if it was a difficult job (in general), or is pretty easy after a couple of days. Also, on your first day there (actually working, after the training)... do they expect you to know everything? Also, are the people nice? Thanks a bunch everyone, I know I have been pestering with lots of questions lately!! Bye!

Hi Kristi and welcome to ride photo. I'd just like to assure you that the job isn't too difficult after you get used to it. Sometimes it does get a bit overwelming, but it's nothing you won't be able to handle. Also, we won't expect you to know everything your first day! My first day I didn't know anything, but my crew helped me though it. Every one was pretty nice about everything, too. Do you know the location you'll be working yet? If you have anymore questions or anything, don't be afraid to ask.

Your first day there are people there all of the time to help you out. Training wasn't any help to me at all, if anything it just confused me. They spent the entire training going over how to work cash registers and such. But, since Ride Photos use a different system, training was no use for me.

It doesn't take long at all to get used to and know how to do your job. I remember at first I had no clue what to do but later in the day it was no problem. Then later in the summer I was working shifts by myself 6 days a week.

I have another question about Ride Photo as it is one of the jobs at CP I'd like. On the application, is there any way to differentiate between Ride Photo and Sneak Peeks? On the application there is only one choice for photographer. I'd rather work in Ride Photo than Sneak Peeks, but I don't know if it is possible to do that on the application!

ride photo over sneak peeks? Ok, I've worked both.. and they're both pretty great.. on the old applications there was a different spot for ride photo.. and photographer was just for sneak peeks.. just make sure they know you're not all about sneak peeks.. It's no fun if you're somewhere you don't want to be..
