Ride or Rollercoaster

My only question as to having S:TE called a coaster is that the original 1st generation free-fall rides like Demon Drop aren't considered coasters, yet the reverse free-falls are? Heck, they are even full-circuit rides. Where's the logic in that. To me, I think that they would have first came out with the 1st generation free-falls during the "coaster wars" of the '90's, they would be considered coasters.

This is my personal definiton of a roller coaster:

One or more un-powered (no onboard locomotion) trains begin movement on a horizontal track, and at least one element depends on gravity to move it up/down the track.

This fits for any roller coaster, but it does include 1st Gen Free Fall rides, because they do begin on a horizontal track.

So yes, T-452 will be a roller coaster, according to my own definition :)

I think it's pretty obvious people, that #16 is a roller coaster. Who cares what the definition is?!?! Coasters are Coasters...deal with it!

How do we know that it is full circuit and not racing! I was just there on Sunday and I saw a mega launch station, but no station, and therefore no track coming out of the station on the other side. There is no proof that this is full-circuit.

But whatever, we have 185 days to figure it out.

Uhhhhhh, dude, theres brakes on the other side. I don't think a coaster will launch up through brakes. Besides the rear end of the station has no cement poured yet!

There are copper fins mounted to the track, meaning that the trains will pass over them with the corresponding brake "bracket" on the under-carriage of the trains.

This should be labled a THRILL RIDE, as well as WT......There's just not that much COASTER to a L-TH-B of WT....

MF is concidered a thrill ride.

It will be a roller coaster, no way would it be anything else, because CP will want to keep up their record for the most Roller Coasters in the world, and so would make this new ride as a roller coaster

The car has wheels, you ride on it, and it is propeled by gravity most of the time. It's a rollercoaster.

I think it is silly to debate such a thing. If a park considers it a roller coaster, it is a roller coaster.

Coaster. Why would you even think otherwise? If Cedar Point built a 100ft circle, 2mph ride with no hill and a 1 person car, it would be a coaster to me.
