ride ops

I rember when I was a kid and I went to cp. I thought that the people working the rides were the cooolest people in the world. My first summer at cp we had such ride pride and were so cockey about working in rides. This was becuase cp is the number one park in the world and people come to ride the rides. So this summer I would like to say a prayer for are brother and sisters who can not work with this summer because they are fighting for are freedom overseas. Also I hope we rember that it is an honer to get to work in ride op in the worlds greastest park and that it is ok to be a little cockey.

i just mean we should be proud to get to spend great summers at cp. not just ride ops but all dept and that we should show a little pride.

Um... ok... I think there is enough 'pride' to go around... twice.

I can say I'm looking forward to working at Cedar Point this summer dispite the hours and pay. The bad pay is made up by more hours, leaving you working nearly half the time. I could work a job that pays about the same per week as CP and about 40 hours per week; however I would much rather work more for the same pay doing something I want to do.

There's no problem with having a ton of pride for your job and your area, as long as you remember that all seasonal jobs at Cedar Point have the same value -- no one department, position or ride is "better" than anyone else's (Disclaimer: I'm not saying this because I thought anyone here was saying theirs was!). Sure, some positions may not be as classy -- or noticable -- as others in the opinions of park guests, but they are all necessary and we'd all realize pretty quick if one of those positions "disappeared."

Here's to all the seasonal employees at Cedar Point with hopes for an awesome summer! Let's make it the best yet!

thank you Lee that was the ansewer I was looking for.Sorry if i seemed one sided I just used rides becuase that is what I am fimular with. I have always thuoght that soom of the depts. desarve better pay and more respect.
