Ride Names

Wow, I actually REALLY like the names Boardwalk Shores, as well as Neptune's Falls. But, Boardwalk Shores does have a super nice ring to it. I like Neptune's Falls just because it sounds. . .interesting. I vote for them. :)

Has anyone thought about what the new "Geauga Lake" logo will be, maybe the old one they had before Six Flags bought it?
I had heard they intend to modernize the old jester(sun) loge. I hope this is true it by far the best.

Out of the March 14th Sandusky Register:Hildebrandt said Cedar Fair will have new names for most Geauga Lake attractions this week.

So, are there any announcements to follow up John's statement there? I'm just wondering if there have been any names given out yet. I as hoping from that statement that they would publish the names that week. But, then when I think about it what would have been the reason.

I guess I'm looking to soon. They probably do have all the names, just waiting for the sale finale before they make the announcement.

What time does the water show start?

I'm confused then Jeff, why does Geaugalake.com still take you to the Six Flags site? Is it still like this until the new site is up?
Yes, all Jeff is saying is that the domain name registration has been transfered to Cedar Fair, so they own geaugalake.com now. However, they probably are goiing to keep the redirect there until the sale is final and they get their own site up.
I think that they should just rename all of the large rides, after it has been known under another name, and you are going to drop part of it, might as well change it to something completely different. But forget the rides, but they should rename the park, it doesn't sound like an Amazement Park like Cedar Fair seems to run. When it used to be called Geauga lake I never wanted to go to it because it sounded much like a regular park (though it has come a long way since then)

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

How do you define "regular park?" A regular park to me is Cedar Point. It's not a theme park, but a traditional amuesment park.

How is the name Cedar Point more 'exciting' than Geauga Lake? Cedar Point was named after a grove of trees afterall. Seems like a lake is just as exciting.

From an article on virtual midway

One thing that will have to change immediately is the names and trademarked logos on many of the Geauga Lake rides and attractions, which contain Warner Brothers and D.C. Comics characters. One of the roller coasters is called Batman Knight Flight.

Now, that was on the 14th... so the coasters probably have names already, but as far as I know, the new names have not been announced.
