Cedar Fair may change many of the rides' names simply as a way to place even more distance between what the park was under Six Flags' ownership and what it will be now under their ownership. A sort of emphasis on the change that has happend per say.

Boardwalk Shores opened in 1983 with Neptune's Falls, the now-defunct Undertow, a re-routed Giant Slide that dumped guests into Geauga Lake itself, and a sandy beach. If I'm not mistaken, it was the first time a waterpark had been added to an amusement park and only one admission fee was charged for both. Other "Moments In BS History" include:
* The Wave (defunct) added in 1984. Was at the time the second largest wave pool in the country.
* The Stingray Wet Slides opened in 1987.
* Turtle Beach premiered in 1989 and was so popular that a second phase was added in 1990.
* Hook's Lagoon opened in 1997, replacing the Undertow.
* A brand-new wave pool and a lazy river were added when the area was renamed Hurricane Harbor during the Great Flagging of 2000.
Just some random trivia on a rainy day....
