I was wondering how many hours a week on average a ride host works, and also about on average how much a ride host will get in their paycheck a week?
How many hours a week will you really work? It'd be nice to work a lot, but is it really likely that you'll get lets say 50 hrs a week? I've heard that you usually only get 40-45 hrs a week, and I want to work a lot more than that..... *** Edited 4/1/2006 7:37:33 PM UTC by cpcoasterfreak***
About 40-75 hours per week depending on staffing at the ride. That will get you a paycheck of between $180-$350 with Cedar Points rate of $6.25 an hour.
Don't forget about the bonus. $1.00 for every hour worked, if you complete your contract.

I usually averaged around 65/week. The most I remember seeing on my paycheck was 69.1 hours.

It's not really a bonus, it's an excuse to keep employees there.
Yeah, but if you get it, it's basically a random $1,000 check you get post-season.

Which, as I said before, is a bonus. How can you say it's not ForgottenEE? Regardless of the reason for it to be in place, it IS still a bonus.

I remember when Artem worked 90 some hours and they sent him home because they didn't want to pay him that much, he just kept picking up shifts. I would average 55-75 hours as well. And you usually maintain that amount all season, because in the beginning of the season you you work more O-C with the park open less, and hte middle of the season with not many O-C but more park hours. I'm curious how much less I will make with the new park hours.

I typically worked between 50 - 60 hours a week. I could have worked more but I arrived in June last season for one, and secondly Snake was one of the last rides to open so I didn't have to be there until after most of the other ride ops had already started working.

I got up to almost 90 hours one week... and we had one girl on our crew that was a glutton for hours, so if we didn't really want to work one day... she'd always take the hours. She worked 80 hours a week every week.

I averaged like 55 hours per week last season, mostly because I kept trading away my shifts to people who wanted to work O-C's, so I got fun splits (um.. 11:30-1:30; 6-8 anyone? That was the best)... REALLY wish I wouldn't have done that though, my bonus could've been so much better!!
