If I remember correctly...Isn't Area 1 everything from the Front Gate back to Millennium Force and Magnum XL-200, with everything else in Area 2? Or is there more to it than that?

(why do I even know that Area 1 and Area 2 exist?)

Don't be too surprised if the Cloo-By-Four comes out in Area 1 before long, if it hasn't already...although the person I talked to blamed the problem on what carnies call "green help." Looked more like red and blue help to me... :)

I never knew umbrellas were allowed up on the platfrom.

Lol maybe its just me but I didnt understand one word of that Ridman! ;)
Cloo-By-Four: A bit of lumber, of some unspecified length, 1-5/8" by 3-5/8", used for knocking sense into the clueless.
Green help: Carnival term for the inexperienced new-hire picked up locally to help out for the current date. At Cedar Point the equivalent term seems to be "Ride Pride".
Red and Blue help: Normal staff and foremen respectively. But you knew that already.

What I did notice on the day in question was that in Area 2, EVERYBODY knew the policy, and in Area 1, almost nobody did. The facial expression I saw on the person I talked to in the Ops office was one of sheer stark horror when I mentioned my experience on a particular ride that happens to be in Area 1. Knowing how the park likes to over-react to such things, my expectation is that memos and meeting agenda items (the figurative Cloo-by-Four) would probably result.
I still don't see the source of Lyn's complaint. Either that or somebody deleted something offensive... :)
