Well, as I wrote about the re-hire before, my application has been reviewed by a total of 3 people so far. How long will they wait to call for an interview?

When I filled out an application, it took them over a month to call me and interview me over the phone.. than they said they'd call back in a few days if I got the job or not. My friend filled an application out and they called her back 3 days later to interview here.. I guess its different times.. I'm not sure :-\

It's different for different people because, frankly, you may not be who they are looking for... For example, your availability may not be what is needed by the people that have looked at your application. Or, the managers may just be taking their time. I would sit back and wait a little while longer. Have some patience. ^_^

Ususally if they review your applicaiton three times you're never, ever going to be hired. Ever.

Actually, I think the way it works (by talking to my manager) is that your application first goes through HR. From there, they look at it and as long as it's decent (like you took the time to fill everything out and retain an IQ over 50 or so), it gets passed into the application pool in the computer system. From here, anyone who has access can check out your app. Whenever it's opened even just to be looked at, your application has been reviewed.

So really, the fact that your app has been interviewed doesn't really mean that much and you shouldn't read into it too much. Believe me, you'll get hired as long as you fit the criteria above.

I wasn't going to apply but then I decided to try and get a TL position. Mike is very hard to get ahold of. We played phone tag for about a week before I finally go to talk to him.

I agree I think it depends on the area and silver tag that reviews your app. I was hired two days after I applied. But my friend who applied the same day did not get hired for 3 and a half weeks.
