Remote Control Cars / Boats - Bring it Back

I always thought those were the coolest thing - and it was always one of those novelties that could get the whole family involved. Older folks and younger kids liked them equally as well. Interestingly enough, PKI does have the remote control trucks, and we actually waited for a chance to use them last year.

Yeah the old Pirate Ride area is pretty dead now when I go to ride Blue Streak. I wonder if they'll add anything in the near future to bring some people back to that area?

I expect that area will get a face-lift and probably a major new attraction within the next 2-3 years. With Maverick anchoring Frontiertown next year, the Blue Streak area represents the next logical part of the park to upgrade.

You guys remember the boat that would shoot the "cannons?" The clear water in the blue pool?

You know, they could of at least left the animatronic pirates that were in the windows of the pirate ride building.

I remember the highlight of my day at CP when I was younger being Bearenstein Bear Land and playing on the ship at Pirate Ride. I think the one time I actually got to play with the remote boats were the ones over by Iron Dragon. Oh the memories... :)

The presence of Mantis in that photo shows that the ID lagoon boats were there at least through 1996.

I had forgotten some of the other locations, such as by the Pirate Ride.

Oh yeah over by the pirate ride. I forgot about them there too. I miss the Pirate Ride. The whole area needs a revitalization and is kind of wasted space.

I say if we have room to rebuild the pirate ride by the pirate ship and the boats around iron dragon like it use to. I remember the pirate ride and that was like the only coaster i could go on for a while same with Jr. Gemini. Is there any way we can get CP to rebuild these?

Since the boats and Pirate Ride aren't 500 feet tall, don't go 150 mph, and don't look good in advertisements, draw crowds, and make money, no.

Also, the Pirate Ride was not a coaster.
