Recruiting Tour 2002 at Radisson

Is anyone going to go to the Recruiting Tour at Cedar Point on January 5th at the Radisson?  I'm going because I want to work there this summer and it will give me a good excuse to drive there to see the park. :)

I have another question; I tried to call 1-800-688-JOBS to be interviewed by phone after applying online.  Well, I wasn't really sure what number to push after that (you've got to love those automated telephone things) so I just kind of gave up.  If I'm going to the recruiting tour anyway, I'm probably going to get interviewed there because I already applied online, right?

You HAVE to love that phone #...

1-800-NOT-JOBS

I kid you not...

Interviewing starts after January 7th when you call that number.
I think it's funny when they e-mail you something stating, "Thank you for applying. To interview by phone, call 1-800-668-JOBS, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Please allow 5 days for your application to be processed before calling." but not mention to do it after January 7th.

They may have changed the email. The email I got from them stated January 7th. Because they say the recruiters dont even come back from vacation until January 2nd.
It could be even longer depending on the department.  I know that Oz won't be back and calling until the 14th.

I did not finally get interviewed until the end of January even though I placed my application in December. So dont worry if they dont call you the firse few weeks.
I applied online last year, I don't know if anyone else who posted here did or not. But basically this is how it works.  You fill out the online application.  Then you have to wait two weeks in order to receive a response.  If you don't receive a responce by the end of those two weeks then you dial 1-800-668-JOBS.  In that number menu you choose the number of the department you applied in, and it takes you directly to the interviewers. If you need the list of the job positions and what department they're in, I'll be happy to email them :)

I'm guessing that since it is still early in their hiring, that January 7th was a good day to tell people to call back.  After all they probably receive quite a few applications by snail mail, and online during their Holiday break. :)  That's a lot of Apps for them to respond and interview to.
