Was this "Mini Demon Drop" a small ride, or somthing to look at and go "HOMG!"

I always was afraid that cable would snap while I rode the Sky Ride. *** Edited 9/2/2006 7:26:14 PM UTC by CP Tay Tay***

Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~

^Actually, I think someone did some research about cable lifts and found that there's never been a time where a cable has snapped. That made me feel a lot more comfortable about hanging from that cable.

I never saw it, but the mini Demon Drop was just part of the theming to the mini golf course. Sort of the like the windmill and giant rocks that are commonly seen on other courses. I hope I'm right when I say this.

Don't forget about Troika and Chaos being moved for the best ride in the park. (in my opinion at least) :) *** Edited 9/2/2006 10:59:33 PM UTC by Gomez***

The Monorail was there before the Blue Streak. Blue Streak was built to cross over the Monorail tracks, as the Monorail went out toward the Marina. Those large openings with the steel beams in the Blue Streak structure is where the monorail passed through. The Monorail station was in the area eventually occupied by the now-defunct Pirate Ride.

Cedar Classic was the miniature golf course, it was next to the Sky Slide on the corner that is now Peanuts Playground. It was an 18 hole course set in the trees, and in addition to regular style holes, they also had the miniature Cedar Point themed holes scattered thoughout. There was the Demon Drop, the Blue Streak, Ocean Motion, and I seem to remember something that had to do with Western Cruise. Oh, and Space Spiral, too. Anyhow, the miniatures were very well done with a lot of detail and accuracy. They were so cool, and I hoped when they built the Myrtle Beach style course for Challenge Park that they would find a new home there. But sadly, no.

Let's not forget Vertigo's brief stint in Challenge Park in 2001...

Now that's a ride that I truly miss!

Lets also not forget the cheesy but fun Earthquake and Pirates ride. One I always wanted to go when i was little was the Fun House, but no one would go with me so i never expericenced it.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
