Rear of the Trains

Sorry if this topic is somewhere else, but is CP going to put the tires etc... back on the trains next year or over the off-season???
Maybe or maybe not. They might put them back on with tighter bolts and stuff to ensure the tires won't fall off. That's the reason why they were removed in the first place.
But if the tires and engine go back on, does that mean that the two extra seats will go? When your on the ride you don't see that stuff anyway.

There has been alot of talk about this on this board, so while at the point I took a picture of the back of the dragster train (picture) . I hope this helps out and by the looks of that back peice something will be comming back hopefully.

I don't know if anyone else got a picture of it so i thought i would share mine with you.

They have extended bumpers with mounts for new theming if it is decided that it will be added. I'm suprised how much the ride has changed this summer. There are many things that could be improved though. I have no doubt that by next summer it will be running much more consistently.

Eddy the retard is awesome.

As far as I can tell, it looks like the engine will definitely not be returning since that is exactly where the two new seats were added. As for the wheels and tail of the trains, those bumpers are still there and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see those things attached to the back of the train next season.

I think part of the reason for the extended bumpers is the high speed of the ride. The way they are made kind of reminds me of a crush zone on a car. If there is a collision, they will sort of fold up and absorb the impact a bit.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I'm guessing that the chances of theming returning would be greater if the tires, engines, and spoliers were still sitting by the hydraulic room. Unfortunately, though, that is no longer the case as they have all been moved elsewhere.

They're probably finding another way to get the themeing on the trains with the worry of them falling off. So in the mean time CP added an extra row of seats to get rid of the wasted space. This is just my thought, may or maynot be true. Another thing, you may not have seen the themeing while you're on the ride but did CP put grandstand in for riders to look at. The themeing is to make the ride look cool for a person watching. The launch and the 420' tower is for the rider.

Gomez, I don't think they just added 2 seats to take up space because they wouldn't put all that work they did into the station for nothing. If you looked at the picture posted before the black steel on the back has enough room for the engine I think because it was not ever that big and I think that it would fit on the back if not then the tires and wing would fit. So IMO the seats are there to stay.

This was obviously a descision made awhile back considerring those seats don't just appear, I'm assuming that CP had to order them a few weeks in advance at the least...
At a little mini Q&A session at this past Sundays coaster event, Janice Witherow said that the desgin department REALLY wants the theming back on, and they are going to spend this winter trying to find a way to re-attach it to the train, as it completed the marketing aspect of the ride. So from that, it appears as if it will be comming back next year.

Personally, I want it back on, regardless if they have to remove the seats, as it made the ride look much better.

i think just putting the tires and spoiler without the engine on the back would look great.
It does not look bad with out the engine here is picture that I put the 2 back seats on and took of engine doesn't look all that bad but IMO I would like to see engine.
Hey When I was in line for the mean streak they have tat shed back by the brack run and they have old ride trains like gemini trains raped up and so I was looking over there and there are the engins and spoliars there too. They were sitting on a wood palet and they look like they are leaving them there. Take a look when you go ride mean streak because they moved them over there. So I think that those theming part that were on before will not return but I bet new ones will.

I am pretty sure the themeing is making a return and the seats are staying too. A client of mine works a manufacturing place near CP. I was told cp guys were in there and some of the employes were showing them how the future (smoke) element would work.. and that he heard them talking about the trains and the return of the theming.. and the seats will be staying too. believe it or not. but this is completely true.

even just the spoiler would be cool.

jonisneo, that picture looked GREAT!!!

I hope the trains actually look like that though.

With the addition of two more seats and the spoiler and tires, would the trains be too heavy and the ride have a more frequent occourance of rollbacks??
