I believe it was when my brother went for his 8th grade trip back in 1980, I never even heard of the place before, I was in 6th grade. The only park I have ever been too was Volmar's Park, on the Maumee River.
My brother got back from Cedar Point, with a map, and talked, and talked, and I had to wait until I was in 8th grade, 2 years later to go (1982).
Ever since my 8th grade trip, I went about once every 2 years, then my son got old enough in 1998 and have been there at least one a year since.
Oh yea, And having a website to goto everyday helps alot!
We went every summer for as long as I can remember. Since we stayed all weekend at Camper Village, it was a huge event to look forward to. I've always been hooked. I still remember crying when my family forced me on Corkscrew. LOL!! I vividly remember standing on the midway where Dragster now stands looking at the hill of Cork and saying "The hill is too big!" Ahhhh, those were the days.
1989, 4 years old. I rode magnum with my dad :)
(yes, I was actually tall enough to ride at 4 years old. My parents hated paying full price for me when I was 3 and too scared to ride - but that didnt last long.

Bwah-hah-hah. Excuse me while I contain my mirth.
Everybody's a comedian. ;)
I'd offer a comeback, but I never saw Blossom. I was too busy watching Alf.

Thanks CP DAD!
I was starting to feel old with 1969! LOL Let's see, back then there was the Blue Streak, Mill Race, Upsidedown Funhouse, and the first Wildcat.
I do miss the fun house, mill race and I'm not sure about the 1st wildcat. Was it wild mouse? I find myself using that for wildcat for some reason. I also call big dipper at GL the clipper 'cause that was the name that stuck with me early on before they changed it. I did ride Jumbo Jets, Corkscrew and Gemini during their debut seasons. It's amazing, those were my TTD's at the time!
I would have to say 1870..
haha..ok really..probably 2001..I think, because I became really interested and started following the Wicked Twister construction.
