Raptor-thon! Wednesday August 30th

Trip # 2 of 3 planned for the week

After spending 5 hours drive time, 10 hours in the park the day before, 5am came way too soon! Hubby was sweet enough to equine sit for me so I could do another Raptor-thon.

High Po!nts:
The weather wasn’t too bad again. Skies looked lousy at times and blue at times but no rain to speak of.
Joe Cool allowed me a quick 5 rides before park opened. Despite only 2 trains running and crowds alittle heavier than I had anticipated/wanted I had a great time! :)
Once the crew noticed me coming back again and again they started having fun with me. I had forgotten how much I love to ride Raptor :)
Cool thing is if you’re a single rider you get to ride a lot quicker than other people since single seats are easy to find and hard to fill.

I was glad hubby wasn’t with me cause he would have wanted to take a break to eat. Not me, I had granola bars in my pocket and 1 bottle of Aquafina that held me over the whole time I was riding. I had a great time getting to know the crew, and an even better time taking videos of Raptor with my Razor.

Low Po!nts:
I got to see 1 hand how short staffed the Raptor crew is and how hard they have to work due to that. Made me want to get my uniform and help them out! (as long as they didn’t put me on crowd control-I HATE that position!!)

Funniest line of the day was when some guy sitting next to me asked me “have you ridden this thing before?”

As with the day before I couldn’t stay till closing due to was going back to the park the next day and I was terrified of falling asleep on the way home if stayed. Thank goodness for No Doz and Red Bull!

All in all an awesome time, awesome day. My thanks to the Raptor crew for helping make it such a great day for me!! You guys all rock!! :)

Final ride count?
32!!! :)

Lifetime Raptor flights: 1152 :)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

Depending on what time you're talking about it was anywhere from 20-45 minutes. I didn't even come close to my previous Raptor-thons of 64 and 65 rides, but that's because the crowds back then were way lighter and they had 3 trains running. Not to mention I stayed all day.

I wanted to go on a thon for Raptor back in May, it was late in the day and there wans't a line for it. But I was full of a gaint prestol, but we did do a thon on TTD. We got five rides in, in just under an hour and a half. That was a blast, I've only gotten 28 rides on Raptor but there were all a blast!! :). *** Edited 9/11/2006 2:57:30 AM UTC by Daniel Smith***

Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"

I want an MF-a-thon. I would also like one on Raptor. As you can see from my list, it is my favorite B&M looper out of 4. I loved the front seat.
