Welcome to the crew Brian. I am Chris. Last year was my first year at CP and I worked on Raptor. I'll be on Raptor again this year. Can't wait to meet you. When is your first scheduled day of work? Mine is May 6, opening day.

Hay its Brian again. Nice to meet you Chris. I will be reporting to CedarPoint April 30th. Now I have no idea where I am going to stay tho. I was looking at the on-site dorms. I am from Florida so I used to heat thats for damn sure. I just have a few questions for you Raptor Vets, How is the weather up there? Should I bring a sweater and a sweatshirt? Where are the best partys concerning the housing. I am coming up alone, i guess not that many guys come up from Florida lol. I hope I can meet some friends.
Again I look foreward to working and having a ton of fun with the raptor crew.

Hi Brian, I'm Adrian...When you work with me, remember one phrase, and one phrase only: "YOGURT!" hehe ok thats enough out of me. This will be my second year at cp, working on raptor. Last year i lived in the on point dorms..they arent classy, not in the ver leaste! however they have 2 things going for them..#1 the price, and #2 the location..when i was running late i could walk to raptor in 4 minutes if i had to. The off point dorms are more expensive, but are much much nicer, there will also be a new air conditioned dorm place this year. As far as parties are concerned im sure both places have their share. Anways looking forward to another great season...~A

Nice to meet you Adrian. Warm clothes to me are a sweatshirt and jeans, I do have a winter jacket, should I bring it. On site Dorms. Cool Or UnCool Again? I am Checking April 30th what can i except a week before the opening? One more I promise, Should I bring a 13inch TV, VCR, and a Dreamcast? If it helps the night go by. I am really looking foreward to spending a great summer being apart the greatest rollercoaster team.

Brian....On site dorms are mediocre at best..but their location can't be beat....you can always ask to see a room in it before you decide..the onsite one is right by human recourses..YES TO THE TV AND STUFF! The AC dorms are new this year. The winter coat wouldnt hurt either..you never know!! I live in NY, its still pretty cold some days arround the end of april..by the time i get there (may 19) it is pretty warm all the time. ~A

Thanks Adrian for the Advice, boy I thought I had this all figured out! I truely feel like at Freshmen in college again, Where to go for this, where to go for that, gezzz. I am to old for this lol. Few more questions. Do we walk up the lift hill? Are the spiels recorded now. Last time i was at the point it was 1998 and they still did it, but i heard a few rumors that there like disney now, automatic. Do they have discounted Ripcord fees? And what is the number one problem you faced as a crewmember at Raptor last year?
Hate to rub it in but it is 84degrees here in Orlando, and its only 9am.

Brian --- hi, Im Amanda. Im from Sandusky ... lucky me, huh! no, not really at all. I worked on Raptor last year as a rookie too. okay, heres the low down from a pretty damn cool townie!
-bring the winter coat, jeans, sweatshirts, sweats ... whatever that will keep you warm b.c. you will need it!
-dont forget your TV and VCR ... you may not want to bring the Dreamcast ...but its up to you. you will be surprised how little time you will actually have to play it.
-as a local, I prefer the off-point dorms (or whatever you want to call them) you are about a 2 minute walk from the bar and that makes a HUGE difference when you are pretty drunk at Louies (the biggest dive known to man) and you have to find a way home (if you live on-point)
-yes, I would try to get into the new A/C dorm ... but you and everyone under the sun are going to be trying!
-dont worry about making friends ... you are very lucky to working on Raptor, we are a GREAT bunch!
-about the auto-spieling ... I hope not, thats one of the greatest parts of the job!
-the hardest thing about being part of the crew was probably getting sent to other rides when they need help. you get accustomed to YOUR ride and dont want to work anywhere else. but we have one of the biggest crews in the park (or we did last year) so we ALWAYS were sent other places for a day or so to work. but its all part of the deal, I guess.
lastly ...this summer will be as much fun as you make it. sandusky sucks, so make it the best! trying living here for almost 21 years!!!! I will be there for the first weekend all the way until the last... so Im sure we'll become pretty good friends ...just like everyone else on the crew! see you soon!
Hay I just wanted everyone to know alittle about me, since everyone has posted something about themselves. I thank you again to Chris, Amanda, Adrian for introducing themselves to me, they should me What A great Team Raptor has. Well, I am 22, I live in Orlando Florida. I go to Unv of Central Florida, and I am a BA major. I am from the Cleveland area orginally, but became a southern boy in 1997. Nothing down here compares to CP's rollerCoaster Selection. For 3 and a half years at Walt Disney World, there I worked the Tower of Terror, StarTours, Guest Relations, and as a resort boat captain. I had a great time there, but Iook foreward to having a better time at Cedar Point. So thats a just a little about me. I hope it answered any question about myself.

You are not seriously thinking about working there again jo are you. I remember hearing you say that you would not come back next year. Raptor blues getting to you huh??? Dispatch was good and that front seat ride was good. I prefer you riding instead of working, it seems more fitting to me.

Hey brian. I am also a Raptor rookie this year too (as well as a CP rookie), so it looks like we are in the same boat. I'd also like to say hi to all the other members of the crew. I am looking forward to meeting you all and working together on the best ride in the world! My name is Michael, I'm 18 and I'm from Springfield, Ohio. I go to school in Cincinnati at the College of Mount St. Joseph and I'm majoring in math. I start work on May 14th. There, now you all know a little info on me now. Moving to O-Town, cool. Its a nice city, tons to do. Always some fest or something going on. Cheap too, 600a month near the city for a 1bedroom and near disney its like 450a month for the same. College is cheap to, thanks to all the old people playing loto. Really nice place to Live Adrian. If you need anything information wise just email me or talk to me at the point. Is April 30th here yet?????
