Last Saturday I was getting off of Magnum and the guy getting in behind me saw my sunglasses laying in the seat. He ran to the ramp to hand them to me. I thanked him and went on my way.
Later that night I was getting a beer by Maverick. As I approached the counter there was couple in front of me ordering 2 beers. She went to pay and pulled out a $20 Canadian. The girl behind the counter explained that the POS did not accept Canadian currency. She went for what she had in American dollars and was $1.40 short. About to give up she apologized (as Canadians do) and was turning around to leave. Me, not about to let a Canadian go without their beer, offered to take the two that were already poured and then use my change to pay for the remainder of the Canadians beer.
Later in Mavericks line, I watched a young girl drop a $5 at the pop machine and a girl behind her picked it up. I thought she was going to keep it, but she ran up to the young girl and handed it to her.
Have you ever hadd anyone do something cool for you, or better yet, have you done something for someone else? It made me feel pretty good for the rest of the night.
While getting fitted for a tux yesterday, another patron, who was deep in discussion with his friends, dropped a wad of cash. I pointed it out to him, and he thanked me.
After the fitting, I met up with my other half in a department store, as she was about to purchase a dress. The dress came to $42.39 and we paid $52.40, for which we received $60.01 in change. My girlfriend pointed out the mistake, much to my dismay - I was convinced this was my recently earned karma. :)

Wouldnt the righ thing to do is to tell the cashier the mistake. I mean that would be a random act of kindness in itself. I know if I gave someone the wrong change I would want them to tell me especially since I may be fired or even prosecuted.

The mistake was pointed out to the cashier. Perhaps I didn't make that clear enough.
That said... prosecuted? Can they do that if it was a legitimate mistake? I mean, yeah, they can fire you, but I would think they'd need to prove that you stole the money if they were going to press charges.

Ive never really had much people do anything nice for me at CP, but mostly people just stare at me funny when I drop a dollar or when I thank someone for whatever.....
I do remember when me and my sister were on MF in the back car and these two people behind us had snuck a camera on and they told us to turn around in our seats so they could snap our pic. We were riding over the second hill and wanted a funny pic of themselves, so they saw us and wanted other MF patrons as well, it was funny, though.
I have noticed over the years that many people at CP and other amusement parks tend to be nicer to each other! My family and friends tease me because I call CP my "Happy Place!" But to me it is because it is the one place where I can go and forget about all the stresses going on in my life and feel like a kid! I feel that many people feel the same way! With everything that is going on, we all need a place where people are relaxed and getting back to enjoying life a little bit and maybe that is why there tend to be more kindness being spread! Just a thought....
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs
Someone dropped a $20 bill by Maverick as they were fiddling with crap. I picked it up and gave it back to them
I just posted about how I have found a total of $53 at the point. But people are always bringing cash out its inevitable that people drop a dollar...or twenty here and there.

Actually no. They do not need to prove that you stole the money.
I work at meijer, A friend of mine was fired because his drawer was short $15.00 NOT $150.00 but only $15.00 and three days later he got a court summons in the mail. Meijer won the case and he spent 5 days in jail over Fifteen lousy dollars.
Now on to my story. I was recently shopping at the local mall and a woman was buying something to drink at the little cookie shop they have. She paid and walked away leaving her purse on the counter. I picked it up, caught up to her, gave her purse back to her. She then she offered to give me $20.00 for returning it to her, I declined.
Well later that night i bought a scratch off lotto ticket at the party store and won $350.00! Talk about good KARMA!!!

No, I get mad. People will just walk straight into you. They make you move. It annoys me. So i just run into them. (:
"You are NOT going back to your friends in line. I will be monitoring you VERY closely!"
-remember, line jumping is NOT a sport!!-
Um, thats the deal with managing a cash register. When you count your cash at the end if it is off in the red, you have to make up the difference yourself. Why didnt your friend just pay $15 in? I realize it was probably 2+ hours of pay, but thats what you do, or at least that was what I had to do when I was in charge of cash for my job.

And how does that mean they don't need to prove it? Because your friend stole some money and got caught? Did he lose because he ignored the summons? Did he show up with no defense while they had evidence showing he stole it?

They did not have any proof he stole it, and in fact he did NOT steel the money.
He was running one of the 12 items or less lane and a woman purchased 2 gallons om milk when they were 2 for 5. The woman gave him 10 and he made change for a 20 there is his 15 dollar loss. They even have him on camera and acknowledge that he did not steel the money.
All cashiers sign a written agreement if there drawer is short 10 or more dollars 3 times within a period witch is 4 weeks, they have the right to terminate their employment and the right to prosecute.
So they used their right for both and won the battle in court.
The thing i don't understand is HOW they won. We are still trying to figure that one out...

Well then it wasnt one time, it was a series of times then. That just being the last straw. Part of your job as a cash register attendant is to make sure you give correct change, he didnt, thus failing at his job, thus he got the axe. Seems pretty cut and dry to me.
Yes! I agree.. BUT why did they take him to court?
They even said in court "he did not steel the money. He was careless with our funds."
They WON there case and Sent him to jail for 5 days. So i am wondering why they prosecuted him over 15 dollars?

Well, if it has to be separate 3 separate occasions of 10 dollars or more, he had lost them more than 15 dollars.

At the Fiesta Bowl earlier this year, a girl was walking up the stairs (we had end of the row seats) and she dropped her Blackberry. I grabbed it and ran after her. I gave it back and she said thanks and went on her way.
Later Texas won so karma is good. :)
