Ok there are 3 types of rain:
1. The big thunderstorm rain. That's when the sky gets all black and it rains and lightnings for like 20 minutes. Then it clears. Like in summer.
2. Long dragged out spring rain. Like in spring time when it gets all gray and drizzles allll day long and doesn't stop.
3. That dreadful waterpark hotel.
If it rains this weekend, I hope it's number 1, as I don't mind as long as it's over with quickly.
Around the lake, you have a better chance of a washout when there's zero rain in the forecast. It's sort of an inverse kind of thing. Looking the hourly forecasts, they show a little rain here and there which means we'll probably get nothing or little to nothing if it does rain.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Last night wasn't bad... we rode MF, Raptor, Maverick, PT, Skyhawk before it really started coming down. We either walked on or waited a few cycles for each ride.
Today we have early entry and Fast Lane, and the forecast is much happier.
My friends who've never been here had a BLAST on the rides last nights so today should be pretty awesome.
Fave Rides: Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Millennium Force, Raptor, Power Tower
Got to the park just after 10 with early entry... and during the next 4 hours, we rode TTD, MF, Maverick, Skyhawk, Magnum, PT (each side), MaxAir, WT and Raptor. Longest wait was about 10 minutes for TTD, and that was during Early Entry.
Sat down to eat at Johnny Rockets, sat outside and it started raining...with very strong winds. Back at he hotel for a quick siesta, already the rain is about stopped.
What has made this day so fun? FAST LANE.
Lines for most of those rides were up to 45 minutes (Raptor)... and if it weren't for FL, we wouldn't have hit half that many rides. Our max wait time with FL has been about 5 minutes.
Coming from Atlanta, I'd have to say I will buy FL every single time I visit, and probably wouldn't come to the park at all without it.
Looking forward to hitting some haunted houses and more rides tonight. Sky is supposed to clear up later so we should get a ton of rides in by midnight.
Great time... especially for a rainy weekend!

Glad it worked out for you! It almost always does. I skipped going this weekend and regret it a little, especially if tomorrow is dead, but I'll have a total of four HW under my belt by the time the park closes, so I'm OK.
