Quick Housing Question

When the Park is only open on weekends in September and October, are the employees still allowed to live in the Dorms?
As far as I know, when it gets later into september and october they like to move the remaining people into Bayside and close everything else. You can stay I believe.
I don't know where (or if) they move everyone, but I do know that people can stay. I also believe that at that time they stop charging you for housing.

Durning October.....when the park is closed are you working or not.....Like and in May when it is closed for a week do you work or not.

Park Operations- Traffic 2002 CANT WAIT!

I worked through october last season, I didn't stay during the weekdays But I moved to 1500 Commons dorms from 1400 commons dorms in september and lived in 1500 from September till Closing day in October. You can stay in housing during the weekdays. After closing day anyone who was going to help clean up the park were moved to Bayside and the entire commons complex was closed October 29th. Just before Labor day last year they Closed Cedars and Gold dorms (the on point housing) and everyone had to move to commons or bayside wherever there were openings.

So after the park closes for the year you can stay a little longer and work????? Does CP ever hire people from the summer for any Full time jobs! Year round.

I think you have to be asked to stay to work the extra week after the park closes for the season. I know it's only a handful of people.

They do hire people for full time year round positions, Managers and higher. Also, There are some positions where you can have a seasonal position but have a year round job. It depends what the job is. Maintenance has some year round jobs. Basically, like most places, you have to look for the right openings at the right time to find year-round positions. The most common year round position but not full time is to be a Campus Ambassador. I don't know what that involves I'm sure there someone who is or has been an Ambassador can explain it better.

If I remember correctly, they start hiring for Campus Ambassadors in mid-July. You have to fill out an application and go through an interview process.

For all of the newbies that don't know, a Campus Ambassador is someone who works as a recruiter and representative from CP for students at their home university. Campus Ambassadors attend a training session in the middle of the winter to learn how to do interviews. I'm the Campus Ambassador for Grand Valley State University in MI...

I can pretty much do whatever I want with my position; this year, I had an informational night, hung up posters around the campus, had information tables in some of the community areas, and worked at my school's summer job fair. At the end of the year, you have to make a portfolio of the things you've done, and mail it in to HR... You're paid based on what you've done throughout the year, and the number of people you've hired who stay.

It's a pretty cool job, and I get paid to talk about CP all I want! If you're interested, watch the employee newsletter for information about the interview process in mid-season.
