Queue Lines
The MF queue should have the same intense theming the Magnum has... something at the end well worth the wait!
Frontier Trail IS themed. I bet if you called CP right now, they'd say the same thing! Evan, you implied that the theming in Frontier Town was a coincidence becuase you said Frontier Town wasn't themed! (or at least not REAL theming)
Remember, that was built around the same time Disney World in FL was being built, so CP probably wanted a themed part of the park for that reason....

If you're talking about modern day theming for roller coaster's in THEME parks, then no, Frontier Trail is not theming because it was built so long ago. But, I never said that Frontier Town's atmosphere was coincidence. Anyway, this really isn't that important. You hold your opinion and I'll hold mine. Neither of us is going to convince the other so let's just drop it.

Mist fans, exhibits on all of Cedar Point's roller coasters(Bill Bradley's idea), and last a DJ that plays good music not "Y.M.C.A." and "Love Shack" a hundred times and that does NOT suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disney, if I remember correctly, started theming in the '50s... which is about a decade before Frontierland.
I personally like the DJ and thats all theme..just MHO though..maybe a live band or something for the grand opening would be cool too..

I like Disney-style theming for long lines. Much more interesting than staring at the same people pass you time and again as the mazes go around.

I think CP should make a brochure to list things that we could do while we wait in line. They could hand them to us when we get in the park. One could be to count the number of people in line.

Believe me, the wait will seem like nothing! CP is very good at getting people through the lines, and with the fairly high ride capacity the time will fly. Not to mention that you'll have a 310' tall, 92 mph roller coaster to look at the whole time as well. And if all else fails, read a book!

I kinda hate that feeling you get from Disney queues tho. A lot of the time, they're enclosed in some sort of building or narrow tunnel that gets old, boring, hot, stuffy, etc. It makes you feel isolated from the rest of the park also. I don't mind the maze queue. I can tell when I'm gettin close that way. :)
It says they will put through 1600 souls an hr for MF...Man that seems high when you consider only 36 people per ride..Thats like 44 cars per hour..That would be great and the lines should move quick if they can reach that goal!!

That is true, but they won't be that short, people still have to get on and off. They aren't just going to fly on.

Yes... CP is known for great capacity. As for the queue, I like the idea of a regular maze queue. Like RockDown said, its always nice to know when you are getting close to the end of the line.

they could open the world's largest hedge maze at the same time and use that for the queue... the maze could be quite challenging, but talk about incentive to make it through the maze quickly ;)
Yeah all we need are 11 year old girls crying because they can't find the end.
