queue line length

Just remember, Millennium Force isn't a good ride for the last night of the ride. Before the park closes, make sure you ride TTD or Magnum before you leave. Everyone knows that you should let the Millennium Force ride hosts off early by going to other rides.... I mean it's not cool to ride MF for the last ride of the night. opps :)
I don't know if the queues could hold 10,000 at once, anyone know? Plus that would mean either a super-packed day at the rest of the park or walk-ons on everything else. I doubt that will happen though.

"And if TTD is a 7 hour wait when i go, I will not be riding it. Because at a capacity of 1500 riders per hour, that means that over 10,000 people are in line."

SteelRider, that would have been the number before Freeway. Take 7 hours' worth of Freeway stamp windows out of the mix because those riders will be somewhere else riding.

Still, your logic is sound. Long lines on moderate days have to mean short lines elsewhere.

Dang - 10,000 people in one queue!? The queue will probably hold around 3,000 people at once which would be over a two hour wait. I don't really know for sure, but it would seem to be a reasonable guess.

Right, the actual queues won't hold 7 hours worth of people. See the picture linked to above to see how far out past that the MF line was...

As others have stated, I simply won't wait in a line that long. If there are that many people waiting in line, then other parts of the park HAVE to be much emptier.

It will be as long or longer than MF's. Didn't they have to expand MF's line under the final overbanked turn? What do you think will be the maximum line length (time)? I know MF got up to 7 hours once.

Are you serious it got up to 7 hours for Mill. Force? That would be crazy if it was longer than that.

Could TTD be any taller?

Crazy if it were longer than that?! It's still crazy being at 7 hours! lol
i really hope that Top Thrill Dragster has a better capacity then Millennium Force. look at the below equation:

good capacity = more rides!

Anybody know how many people get a Freeway stamp per hour?

------------------
Opening Day is just 12 days away!!!
I would rather hear synthesizers sing than hear rappers talk.

The lines will be long, but I think they will be pretty reassonable. First TTD is really short which means they can cycle a lot of trains and Second they will be loading 2 trains at once.

short lines and high times

I believe they give out 150 stamps / hour for each ride. so from 10 am - 10 pm = 12 hours * 150 people = 1800 freeway stamps / ride...

Can just anyone get freeway stamps, or do you have to be a season pass holder? If it's like at Disney World where you put your ticket into the machine and recieve a fast pass it would be great.
Brian, actually last year the number of stamps given out was directly correlated to the ride's capacity... Ex. Raptor gave out more staps per hour than Wicked Twister. And we couldn't start distributing stamps for 10 am since stamping doesn't begin till approx. 11. I can't remember exactly.. I think stamping starts for 1-2. Maybe someone on the GS crew will rememeber better than I do.

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE

I would never wait 7 hours. maybe for a million dollars. and some people would wait 7 hours to get on a 2 and a half minute ride. that is crazy.

I wonder if Dragster will have that same energy amongst the people waiting in line that MF had the first month or so it was open. Anyone that rode it back then knows what I'm talking about.

I think it had to do not only with waiting in line for the tallest coaster, but that every train that flew over the queue would get those standing below excited. Then literally every train would come back into the station cheering and clapping. And since many of the times the trains didn't even stop until they entered the unloading station, everyone's adrenaline was still pumping.

I swear the first several times I rode MF, I could have run a race afterwards I had so much adrenaline from the ride. Hopefully Dragster won't be any different.
