queue line length

I dont know if this is already being talked about, but how long do you think they're going to make the 'waiting line' for top thrill dragster. I mean, millenium force's is really long, but i wonder about top thrill dragster.
It will be as long or longer than MF's. Didn't they have to expand MF's line under the final overbanked turn? What do you think will be the maximum line length (time)? I know MF got up to 7 hours once.

"Scream early because once you reach 420 feet, no one will hear you!"-TOP THRILL DRAGSTER

That was only because there was two train operation, and it was opening day of 2000...I still don't believe the claim of 7 hours though. If Dragster runs at full capacity, I don't see the lines going past 2-1/2 to 3 hours, especially with the addition of FreeWay.

true, but the freeway doesn't go to a whole lotta people.
And you've got to count on the reliability. If it is anything like WT we might see more down time than we want.

Reaching 100 Post! Wow!!

X at SFMM had a 7 hour line when it had a 1 train operation. Re-freaking-diculous.

Everyone talked about WT having a 2+ hour wait when I never seen it over 30 minutes.

Predicting TTD's line is just guesswork. Maybe it'll be over 3 hours or maybe it'll be under 1 hour. Who knows.

CP bound..OD 2000 was 1 train Operation most of the day I believe...I remember that line stretching back to The antique cars on the Main Midway!

Matter of fact, Heres a pic mid-day on OD 2000 showing some of the line...

I Met Brittney! Shes SOOOOOO Cool!

I looked but couldn't find anything on this, so here it goes. If my fiancee chickens out at the last minute and doesn't want to ride Top Thrill Dragster, can she walk thru the ride to the exit, or does she have to walk thru the queue to get out?
Just about everyride has a way of leaving the station without riding or going back thru the line, I'm sure TTD will also.
I thought so, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks Voodoo.
Actually I'm almost positive that on OD 2000 MF ran two trains for most, if not all, of the day (blue and red). I know that they at least ran 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, because those were the two times I rode. But I do believe that the line could have been 5 hours or so, at least at the beginning of the day, because there was a full queue, full temporary queue, overflow reaching the Antique Cars, and two train operation. Hopefully we won't have that same problem with TTD, but you never know.

As I stated in a different topic, I was told that TTD will never run with less than 4 trains because the computers won't allow it. I think this will really help keep capacity up, hopefully avoiding those MF opening day lines.

LOL. Thats the funniest things I've heard in a while.

The PLC's arn't programed with a minuiumum train number. If three trains were down for some reason, then the whole ride wouldn't run. If they don't run all the trains simotaniouly it's because they have a good reason. The crew isn't very quick for the first couple of weeks because they are just getting used to the ride and dealing with the public at the same time. Fine tunning the ride is a working progress, it isn't going to be running as efficently as it will in a few summers.

Everyone was talking about how long WT's line was going to be, but it ended up being short. There is still the possibility that TTD will have a short line too.

Well, I didn't really think that sounded right when they told me there would be a minunum number of trains, but that's what I was told when I was given my tour of the construction, so I didn't think twice about it.

Why anyone would wait in line for 7 hours for any ride is ridiculous. X on opening day, and with 1 train operation is such a diasaster, i dont even know why they bother opening it.

And if TTD is a 7 hour wait when i go, I will not be riding it. Because at a capacity of 1500 riders per hour, that means that over 10,000 people are in line...and with that many people in line, i would rather be enjoying my day at other things. The ride is not going anywhere...i can wait.
