Queue entrance sign: What would you do?

A lot of people don't like the name Millennium Force. Do you see any other coaster named after the Millennium? Nope! Say thanks to CP for not jumping on the Six Flags "wagon"!

As for the sign, I think their should be a alien with a lazer leaning on the height stick. That would be great to me! (Maybe we could even talk CP to have a mascot for MF! Na..) ;)

Disney aready has the rights for Star Wars.
ok, so talk to Disney then...besides, Mike Eisner is the Anti-Christ in my book. Lucas is not...since when does George make deals with the devil incarnate???

"I think I scrambled my brain!!"
Next to the entrance queue they should have a hole with a sign next to it that reads "This pit is exactly 300 feet deep. Drop a coin down and watch it fall to the bottom, then think that you will fall exactly that far in just a few minutes... on Mellenium Force.
I think ther should be a bug( but not a mantis bug) a Y2k bug. *** This post was edited by ANDREW on 2/15/00. ***

Why not a pic of the Y2K "Bug" with a measuring stick???
Hey-anyone know the height requirement on this baby yet??

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
I would do some thing like a Y2K bug but in blue and silver armor with a table on the side that says how many of you stacked would reach the height of Millenium Force. *** This post was edited by milleniumdude on 2/15/00. ***
I was thinking the car flying through space. with that guy that is on other posters like Choas with the weird eyes.
lol you guys beat me to the Y2K bug idea. Although when ya think about it, people are so hyped over that stupid crap, some people would take it as a sign and not ride. Hmm, more rides for me.....great!!

And I think the height requirement thing's been discussed before and the logical answer is 48" same as S:ROS. The restraint systems are the reasons for the 54" on Raptor & Mantis, and if MF's only gonna have a lap bar, then it would make sense for it to have a 48" height requirement, same as Magnum, Mine Ride, Gemini, or any other CP coaster with a lap bar/seatbelt configuration. :o)

Actually, there was some speculation by someone on this site of good reputation that the height requirement may be taller.
Back to the topic- for the queue entrance sign, we can pay our respects and have fun: Snoopy in his Red Baron getup, holding the stick.

(and it wouldn't hurt to have him standing on six toppled flags, either).
lol Jon the Six Flags thing is cold, real cold. Hehe, I don't know about having Snoopy there...I mean, he belongs in Camp Snoopy eh? Most of the queue signs in Camp Snoopy weren't even done by the time my contract was up last year, mid-September, so yanno....

I still like the Y2K bug idea...maybe using Jon's idea also...Y2K bug maybe shocking a certain amount of flags (like, oh, I don't know.....6?)

Mantomatic-
Don't you think that is too much like the Steel Phantom's logo? With robotic hands, come on. Besides, that's been done. I think MF needs a new look for a new type of coaster. My suggestion would be a stainless-steel frame with the logo at the top, the logo on the trains. As for the height marking, just a simple pole sticking out, with a sign above it stating you must be taller than the pole to ride. It has to be clean, conservitive, and simple. It dosen't need glamour to attract patrons, think about how many people there are talking about it here. And people will be able to find it with no probolem, it's 310 feet tall! And most important, they are the experts. They have been doing this all their life, I think they know what they are doing. No matter what it looks like, and no matter what you say here, they will come up with the perfect solution. You just wait and see, It will be perfect.
Jump on that soapbox SHG!!!!
Honestly I could care less what the thing looks like because I dont really pay attention to them anyways for I am tall enough to ride anything. And when Im in the park I will be staring at MF in amazement not the entrance sign. As for the kiddies (if kiddies should even ride MF) they should just make a simple pole for comparison.
It's Cedar Point tradition to have these signs!

They're not to "attract people" to a ride, they're there because of tradition, information, and fun!

I believe we'll be seeing signage similar to that of Mantis. Like SHS stated, there will be the elegant, stylized logo; but also as Richie said, we'll still in fact see some sort of mascot to uphold tradition. Heck all the other rides have them--why would MF be any different.

I say, let's bring back the freckled kid with the CP shirt, standing on a tree stump with his arm outstretched... :)

(now, how many of you will remember this kid and know exactly what I am talking about?)

I'm thinking maybe a fuzzy puppy or kitty...

I kind of remember what you're talking about, Dave. Doesn't he don a helmet and stand guard at the Jr. Gemini entrance now?
