questions galore!

hi there :)

I'm considering applying for work at CP in Sandusky next summer or the one after as my very first job. I've done a fair amount of research and I think I'd really love to work there. like any newbie, I have some questions.

1. have pests been a problem recently in the dorms? ( scabies, beg bugs, etc. ) i've noticed they seemed to be pretty awful during the early 2000s and miiiight have abruptly ended by 2012? these are just speculations I've made reading ex-workers more so unpleasant experiences, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

if yes, I sadly think that's the only thing stopping me from pursuing this.

2. I have also heard theft can be an issue. would purchasing a suitcase equipped with a padlock be too much? I've heard the commons dorms have lockers.

3. I can't think of anymore at the moment, but any general tips and insight would be very appreciated!

They were bad, not sure if they still are. I think given the deposit required on rooms now, people are taking better care of the housing vs. just trashing it and dealing with the lack of reemployment eligibility.

Theft is an issue, but usually not from your roomates, if that's the case get new roomates. Lock your room at all times, valuables should be stored in your locker & locked as well for added protection. We never locked ours, but we all knew / trusted eachother.

There's a whole employee thread dedicated to general questions around the time apps drop. I can't find the current one off hand, but I'd browse through there. Alot of us put some general good to know stuff in there just for people to review.
