Questions about working at CP. Please help.

I have some questions about working at CP. Thanks in advance for everyone who answers them.

1. If you use CP's housing and get paid so little, do you actually come out with much money earned?

2. There is ulimited acess to CP. How much do you actually go to the park for fun? Or how much of the week do you work?

3. How hard is it to get a job there?

4. If it is your first year and you are interested in being a ride op, I would assume you would start out at the smallest ride, correct? Would that still be fun?

5. I'm from Chicago. I could work at SFGAm if I wanted but who wants to work at Six Flags, you know? Will this experience be worth the drive, the whole summer and the less money then what I could make somewhere else?

I'm sorry for all the questions. I have been to CP only 2 times and wish I could go more. This seems like a great job that I would really like. Thanks again for answering my questions.

You pay about 20 dollars a week out of the 300 you earn after taxes. So you come out with a nice paycheck. And 1st years can work about anywhere that they want. Its easy to get a job especially if you apply before april. You go into the park on your day off and on days when you get out of work at six or have a split shift so quite a bit actually. I think it is worth it The people are great and just meeting all your coworkers and getting to know them you will make some life long friends this summer if you work at CP guaranteed!!!

Well we sure do have a lot of questions about Cedar Point.  Did you read the last post?  The post titled fun working at Cedar point or something like that.  I can't remember the name, but it was something like that, it had a lot of question marks.  Read that.  Trust us, it is a blast, just do it.  Before I worked at CP I hated the place thought it was too big and over crowded.  But its a blast.  I feel jealous though.  I don't know about the rest of you, but I came into the job blind.  I feel thats the best way.  I almost quit the second night.  I cried myself to sleep the first two nights.  I hated it!  I knew no one, and everyone seemed to already have their own friends.  I was so upset and I wasn't use to being left out.  Well like the person I am, i went and ate to pull myself out of depression.  Well in the Rec Center I met a wonderful guy who it was also his first year and he was working MF.  That quiet little black boy, I think you all know who that cutie is, saved me and then I opened up and met so many people that I don't know what I would do w/o them, (Sabrina, Amy, Dana, Nate, Ryan, Desiree, Jess, Steve, Ben...the list can go on for hours!) and I thank god that I did stick it out those first few weeks.  But my goal for next year is to save money this time.  *god bless me* i need it!

I will be the first one to tell you that it is not always the funnest job out there. But I swear to god it was the best summer of my life. If I can go back again, I will in a heart beat. So in reply to your post.

1.) You get paid $6.50(?can't remember), thats per hour. Working 60-70 hours per week. Yeah add it up. Minus food and housing, maybe $100. If you go out every night, your gonna be broke.

2.) 1 Day a week off. And you usually don't work all day.

3.) You start off at whatever ride they assign yoo to. You can ask for a ride, and might get it. If you are not happy lets say 3 weeks into the season, ask your friendly sup to change you.

4.) SIX FLAGS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope that this helped.

LOL Adam. HERE THIS LOOKS FAMILIAR
