Questions about roomates

Hey everyone... I am processing in WAY later than most ppl... on the 12th of June! I was just wondering if I was the only one processing in so late or if there were others. This is my first year so I am excited/nervous... I was also wondering... how they did the roomates? I'm afraid I'm going to be stuck with someplace that I don't really like cause I'm processing in later than most and most of the "good" housing will already be taken... also... how do they choose your roomates? I am TOTALLY up for finding a roomate ahead of time, but I just wasn't sure if anyone else had a roomate already or not.

But anyways I look forward to hearing back from some of you guys :)

Love ya!

Danica Marie

Lots of high school kids get there around that time. Don't worry so much about it. Just go with it. It'll all work out okay. You can always move. It's just a pain in the butt.

They normally put you in a room with another person. Like it was said before, if you don't get along with your roomate you may always move. If you bring a friend or know someone that's processing in with you, then they'll let you two room together if there's an opening for 2 beds in the same dorm/apt (there normally is).

Don't worry, you won't be the only person arriving in June.

If you find somebody to room with ahead of time, then they will do what they can to make sure you guys are together. But if you don't have one already in mind, then they will just put you where there is space - it's pretty much just comes down to the luck of the draw.

My first year I was okay with my roommates, second year I loved them, third year I despised them. (Talking about different roommates each time). If you don't like the person or people they throw you together with, then you can move somewhere else, as long as there is room.

After you get there and start working, maybe you'll make really good friends with someone and then decide to room with them, if it's possible. In my opinion, how well you get on with your roommates goes a long way toward making your summer better, so don't put up with anyone that you don't want to.

Hey i will be arriving June 12th also. So if you wanna get ahold of me email me at jd212903@ohio.edu

Yeah, you have to process in later, but you don't have to go back to school untill what...the end of september, while the rest of the college folks go back at the middle and end of august.

On the rooming note, you will probably end up living on point. I doubt there will be any rooms available in commons that late. But you never know, and like some other people said, you can always swap rooms, so you're not stuck with a group of roomates you can't stand.

Last year I processed in on june 10, and was still able to get into commons and save a bed for my best friend who was coming up a few days after I was. You shouldn't have any problem living off point if that's where you want to live.
