Why was Magnum down for a few hours on Saturday, June 9?
Guest Illness is a poor excuse.
Unless it is the truth, of course. :)
Because it reaaly is sinking into the lake..... HA!!!!!!
Your answer (s): She was depressed. Used to be the tallest coaster in the park but no, MF just HAD to come along and spoil her day. She was feeling especially down today.

A bad day at CP is better than a good day at work.

I Love Millennium Force!:)
You'd be surprised how long a guest illness will bring a ride down. Happened twice during the Gemini 100... (provided some much needed break time, providing you weren't on the car on the hill like me, Anne, Dan and whoever else)

MF 2000 - 269 laps
MF 2001 - 73 laps as of (6/9/01)
June 11th, 2001 - Gemini 100
Being that I am a health care professional,,, I know that puke is sometimes a demanding clean up job, it hides in the cracks and corners of chairs and beds,,, takes some time to get it all out. I know I wouldn't want any evidence of a barf fest left behind when I got in the seat!

I saw Dan worshiping the God of all coasters more than once yesterday. I did my share of eyeballing and blowing kisses too...so I can say it wasn't that. Nonetheless I think I'll move one of my pictures a little closer to the computer and touch up the shrine a bit (and I am so not kidding either...will have to post pictures someday...)

I suppose having a picture of Power Tower as my wallpaper isn't helping either.
Yeah, in fact I don't think it could have been CP Irvine at all. At the time, we were sitting right outside by the pretzel keeping him company, when suddenly we realized it had been quiet for way too long.

I really should be working...
Yeah, someone puked on ID yesterday, and they had to dillute it with like 5 buckets of water
Guest illness takes awhile to clean up because of all the steps involved -- not only does it have to be diluted/swilled out (and it can be in multiple cars depending on where/when/how it happened!), but it also has to be disinfected. This means that at a very minimum it has to be gone over twice, plus cleaning up the platform if necessary. UGH!
