Question regarding housing options...

I have been debating whether to work at CP next season. If I end up working there, I will need to select a housing option of on-point or off-point. Since I am a guy, I am limited to Cedars on-point, and living on-point seems advantageous for me because of lesser cost and being closer to work. But, I want to know if Cedars is really as bad as what some people have said. Should I avoid living on-point?
In my five years of working at the point I lived on point for my first two years because it was very convienient and I worked a lot of hours in Live E

I then made a lot of friends those years and decided I wanted to room with them all off point..... I think the accomodations are what you make of them... they can be fine... you don't spend a lot of time there anyways, at least you shouldn't!

How many room mates do you have if you live in Cedars?

June 28th: LocoBazooka Tour (Sevendust headlining)
July 11th: Korn, Puddle of Mudd, and Deadsy

I can tell you that it isn't uncommon for parents to walk their kids over to Cedars after processing in over at Personnel, only to walk them right back out and take them home.

The building is safe, that I will attest to. The rest is up to you.

Do Cedar's dorms on-point have a\c?

None of the on-point housing options have A/C.
Well, thats not exactly true.... There are some times that an on point housing room can have AC. You have to pay an installation fee to maintenance, and there is an additional fee tacked on to your pay each week for the added electricity. They generally require that you use your own window ac unit, but there were a few for employee use in storage. The best advice is that the early bird gets the worm in applying for those....
Jayson is right, I was just too lazy to get into the complexities of all of that. To take it a step further:

If you happen to be hired into Accommodations and end up in a supervisory position, night auditor position, or a couple of other exclusive jobs, you might even be able to get your own dorm room in Hotel Breakers. That room would have a double size bed, possibly air conditioning, and you will be living the good life.

You still share showers, but with a handful of people instead of hundreds.

Yes, this was my fortunate experience when I worked at Breakers. I had a room in the Rotunda overlooking the pool. It was great Eye Candy. In addition, we got to come and go as we pleased and never had to check "guests" in and out of our rooms :-)
I think living on point has it's advantages and disadvantages. I lived in Gold the first month I was at CP last year. The room was really small for two people and there was no A/C or heat. I got lucky and moved out before it got really hot. But it was handy when it came to going to work or going to eat. I was a 2 minute walk from the cafe and about 10 minutes from my ride. The only thing that I didn't like was there wasn't much of a social life like there is living in Commons, my car was parked about mile away, and it seemed that there wasn't much life outside of work because you literally lived at work. By living in Commons you have a place to go home too after work instead of a cramped dorm room just on the other side of Corkscrew.
