Question for Monty?

At around 12:55 of the press conference, Monty states that the Gatekeeper will go thru the 1st keyhole, circle near the picnic area, then return back thru the second one. On the video at that presser, it travels thru both on the way out. Didn't know if this was brought up, but curious why the difference.

Not sure where it is in the threads, but someone asked him about that afterwards.

He admitted he was wrong, the animation is correct.

It was probably just because he was trying to explain the ride on the fly and without any notes.

That was me Jugga, you are correct. He said prior to that, he hadn't even seen the animation yet. I thought that was odd. But, he probably has a lot on his plate at the moment.

Is it just me, or does Monty look a bit older than he did when he was posting the construction diary for MF?

I tell you, it's scary the people who are aging these days...

Well, it's been almost 13 years. Not everybody ages like William Shatner. :)

Let's Get Weird.

Shatner's not aging because he's dead. And thank god for his selfless act, saving all those poor people on the bus...

Or is he?

Is it just me? Or do they seem really confused sometimes during the Q&A's? My favorite so far was on the DT final ride night when someone ask if Happy Jack's will be seen again. It just seems like Mr. Edwards didn't even really know what was going on.

I think Monty looks more like Star Trek's Capt. Picard.

It was funny how he called the ride "windseeker" when talking about the height, then said it again, but corrected himself later. I saw how he was not exactly at ease when giving a public speech. He did look a little nervous.

Well, Monte is an engineer. Perhaps they should have hired Tom Smykowski who has experience in being the middle man between engineers and the end user. ;)

But.. Why couldn't the customers, just take them directly to the software people?

I think the new person (Ann or Annie) in PR is an excellent public speaker and a great choice for the job. She sounds as at ease and professional as Tony did.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Her name is Annie and yes I agree, I have done a few events with her and been impressed by her this year.

I can't believe some of you are criticizing these people. Tread carefully... Many of them are friends.

My question is "Why don't they want the B&M Roar?

ChrisC.'s avatar

^Because it is at the front gate and it's annoying.

Roar is a GCI, not a B&M... ;)

^^I'm not so sure that its annoying as much as it's a nuisance to workers who are trying to communicate with guests as they enter the park, and vice versa.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
