Hi all,
Are you supposed to do your training ON your start date or on your process in date? I process in on May 7 and my start date is May 8.
Thanks!

All of my training is on the day I process in and on my start day I will actually start working at my ride.
2012: Magnum/ Millennium
2013: Millennium/ Co-TL Magnum
2014: TL Magnum
Bah...last year I processed in mid march I figure....didn't actually have training till may sometime..and that was my first year! Then again I was working in the corporate offices so that might have made a difference
If you process in early enough, they don't have training going on yet. Once it starts then you are placed in a class. I once started in March but didn't have my training until May because they did not have any classes going in March/early April. Has nothing to do with where you work.
its my understanding based on the email that i received from my hiring manager is that your training will be scheduled FOR you by your hiring manager based on the date you select to process in. the date they choose for you will be posted on the jobs website around mid-march.
2012 - Iron Dragon
2013 - Corkscrew
With this new process they have made this year you are suppose to schedule your process in time on the date or after the date they stated on your contract. Next if your living in housing you must schedule your mind numbing housing class. Then you will have to do your policy class be smart just schedule them all the same day. If your a new employee you will also need to schedule you new employee cornerstone class which I think covers the policy class for you. This is a all new system this year which hopefully will be much smoother especially for processing in. After all that you will then have your department training which your department will schedule for you but everything else you must schedule within 10days after signing your background authorization/accepting your job. Department training is not the same as the housing/policy/cornerstone new employee training
