Question about switching jobs
I am going to be arriving in early June to work in food service and was wondering if people have already quit by then would it be possible to become a ride op or switch to becoming a bell hop? I have no problem with food services but it wasn't my top choice so I would like to try for something else. How would I go about asking to be transferred if their are any openings? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You can usually switch job within your division without much trouble, but I think switching divisions isn't an easy task.

I think you have to work a certain amount of hours in your department before transfering. Then you have to talk to the area manager of the department you want to transfer into and see what they say. If they say its alright, then you just have to ask your area manager and if staffing is not low in your department, then you should be ok to transfer. But there could be some more to it, but thats what I remember from last year when I wanted to transfer out of rides.

To answer your question ME, I do beleive that you have to work 80 hours within your department, at least in foods that is, in order to request a transfer. 80 hours doent take long to acheive, but on the other hand, a transfer is more difficult than some. Food isnt so bad, I bet once you get there, you wouldnt want to change, i am a foods chic, and I couldnt imagine working anywhere else!
