Quaker State and lube

I heard Sandusky is getting one. I went to the one in Sheffield a couple of years back. Quite a place.

Also I hope Sandusky gets a Golden Corral. Its a good place to eat.

I would hope they don't get a Quaker State and Lube. I really don't think I'd want to eat there. Now, Quaker STEAK and Lube, that's a horse of a different color.

Sandusky was suppose to get one, Shifters had a deal with them. Even started selling the food from QS. But the deal fell threw. I just heard two nights ago that the plan is to eventually turn the bar half of Shifters into a restaurant. Unless something changes, were not getting one.

On the plus side, BW-3s is suppose to be moving down to the new plaza by Home Depot. This is good because that should make it a “super” BW-3s. I have seen the space their suppose to lease, and its huge. Probably one of the biggest BW-3s I have ever seen.

I had heard about them & shifters but not that it fell through.. Its too bad, they are some nice places and they seem to bring ALOT of business to areas ..... not that 250 isnt busy enough

Nope. Quaker Steak and Lube is the real name of the restaurant. It's not called Quaker State and Lube.

The last time I went to a QS&L, my friend and I both had a basket of Chicken Wings, and a few beers. The bill came to $60. Highway robbery at its finest. Uh, folks who work at CP could likely find a better bargin elsewhere.

Have you never drank a beer in a restaurant before? Some places charge a lot of money for beer. Anyone can buy a 40 and drink it in their living room.

As someone who works in a restaurant...and as someone who likes QS&L...not everyone goes out looking for a bargain. :)

If you want a bargain, "eat" at "Ryan's."

I'll eat at Ryan's if I want to spend a half hour of my life puking my guts out. Some people don't mind it though. I've actually been to worse buffets than that.

Like City Buffet at the mall? Can't get any worse then that.

I live pretty close to the original Quaker Steak, Sharon, PA, but hardly ever eat there. Maybe once every blue moon. "Best Wings in the USA" is something I don't agree with at all. The "All You Can Eat Wings" on Tuesdays is a rip off, where the place is usually packed, and your served only 5 wings at a time. The wings are small, and the waiters and waitresses don't come around to your table that often. I've tasted better wings at other locally owned venues.

The QSL "Wing Buffet" is a good deal. You can get all the wings you want at anytime, better the having to rely on a server. The good thing about the QS around here is that its pretty big, so even on wing buffet night, you still don't have to wait for a table.

I like Ryan's, my crew would eat there all the time, it's cheap and we all thought it was good food. What i'd really like to see in Sandusky is a Circuit City, Best Buy is good and all but CC is just better and the nearest one is 31 miles away. And maybe an Old Navy so that I can use my employee discount.

Old Navy is coming. As far as CC, I doubt they come to Sandusky since Best Buy is already there and pretty much has the market. I don't think Sandusky would need both. But you never know, there getting a lot of new stores.

There also is a Target being built, right across from where the Old Navy is going! :) I drove past it the other day. They are doing pretty well on construction wise. Looks pretty close to being done.

Early May is the scheduled opening for it.
