i never went there last summer but would like to check it out this year
Jake, I am sooooo going to PIB with you this summer! I absolutely LOVE it there. I went there for my 21st birthday; best birthday I ever had. Well, the best was going to Louie's later that night with my crew! Only bad thing about PIB, drinking the whole day then riding that ferry home for 45 minutes. Even if you go before you get on the ferry, it still creeps up on you. I swear, I thought I was going to die lol. Especially when they stop at the CP dock to unload people! That was the only bad thing I have to say about the whole experience. :)

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I've never been to Put-In-Bay. I have no idea what it's like, but I've heard stories.

My division (environmental services) does a Put-In-Bay trip for the blue tags. I'm an ATL so I'll go! I don't drink though, so I won't get wasted like everyone else.

Put-In-Bay is a resort town on South Bass Island. While there is somewhat of a variety of things to do, like Perry's Monument, the primary activity is drinking. The village is basically a strip of bars.

And when I say drinking, I mean DRINKING. It is basically a non-stop frat party for adults, people seem to lose their inhibitions rapidly. The bars have lots of good entertainment, mostly live bands. The Roundhouse Bar is not to be missed, especially if Mike "Mad Dog" Adams is playing in the afternoon.

Put-In-Bay is a place where Mardi Gras beads are almost as popular as in New Orleans, boats in the harbor may have bras flying from the radio antenna, people are passed out from drinking at 3 in the afternoon, and you can always find a party. Most important, the number one rule of the island is "what happens at Put-In-Bay, stays at Put-In-Bay".

The Key West of the North. I have lost some good memories from that place.

I will be working out on PIB this summer, I will be driving the shuttle bus between the ferry and downtown. :) Come say hi.

Shuttle Bus? What is it...about a 2 minute walk?

Its about 2 miles from miller ferry to downtown. I dont believe there are sidewalks either. :) Island Rocket from Sandusky isnt running anymore from what I have been told....

The Miller Ferry is the auto/passenger ferry that runs from Catawba to the Lime Kiln Dock on South Bass. From Lime Kiln it is definitely not a practical walk into downtown. The Jet Express ferry runs from downtown Port Clinton to downtown Put-In-Bay. The dock is right next to the Lion Hill Winery. The company that runs the Island Rocket was looking to sell the boats, I haven't heard if there will be a Sandusky to P-I-B ferry boat this summer.

And you know those underage KIDS was complaining the whole time that it was boring. Well, hello, you couldn't really do anything. Have anyone ever stayed the night over there? Oh the best way to go is byt JET EXPRESS. A smooth ride. Shoot that rocket get ya sea sick.
