Pull-through?

"The term "impulse" is used to describe the way this type of roller coaster works. Each time the vehicle passes through the station forwards or backwards. Special motors kick in giving the train an extra burst or "impulse" of power accelerating it faster and higher. "

There ya go

I believe that many people though the new trains we're under tarps around the Mantis station. It was then confirmed that these we're just the third Mantis trains that are no longer being used.

I was at CP last year around the time that all the hype was goin' on about "#16" and saw some trains under tarps below Gemini but they didn't look like Gemini trains. I also saw the mantis trains as well but those were to tall to be dragsters trains ( they were mantis trains )

Thanks Big D.

My brother knows a guy that hooked me up. I got to ride in the car as they did the pull through. It kinda sucked being on the fastest roller coaster on earth and it was only going like 5 mph, but its still cool to get to say i did that. Then i woke up this morning and realized it was all a dream. To make things worse i had a nasty hangover.

Just can't live in that negative way... Make way for the positive Day

1) I'm sure RGR has something to say about the clearence on MF's first turn.

2) The "trains" under Gemini were the cars for Troika or Chaos, I believe.

3) Real Madrid, you had me going there! I almost posted about how you were full of it, until I finished reading your post. :)

They dont do a Pull-Through on an Impulse.

Of course they do.

How else are you supposed to see if every last one of those LIM's is tightened down within the centimeter or so it needs to be so as to allow the fins to pass through? It may be more of a "push through" but believe me, it's done.

Its not so much a pull through...they just bump the train around...and Run it at low power. They dont use a crane to actually pull the train.
