Proving that we are all INSANE
Met Dan, Joe, Nat, Anne, Jeff S and eventually Rob at TGIFs for breakfast. One comment here....14.00?? NEXT time Sam and I stop at McD's like she wanted to instead! ucky!!!
At the gate we hooked up with other GTTP'ers and by the time we got to Geminis entrance we were ready to rock and roll. I got to meet a bunch of new GTTP'ers, Vortex, Magnum is Sinking, Somewhat Chewy, Freaky, Joe E, UCSIGEP, MD Omnious, Monster Ride Op, Im sure Im missing a few here-sorry! It was amazing how the most of them knew who I was...wonder why? (hint: if the blonde hair didnt do it, the tattoos didnt do it, maybe it was my CP socks I was proudly wearing :))
In the beginning I teamed up with Sam (and thanks for all the compliments on her guys-she is a good kid, and Nat she adored you!!) we made it to 20 laps and back to the truck for lunch-pigged out in record time, back to Gemini. By lap 30 or 40 we're both thinking "getting sick of this" but kept on. Some how I ended up solo a few times and Sam teamed up with Nat, but towards trips 60-100 was back with my PIC and favorite ride partner Hooper. I must agree the sprinting off and on was worse then the actual riding-but seeing GTTP'ers on line or on the trains we would cause a scene,
Dan and I had an ongoing speil all day of "are you Magnum Dan?" he'd say "arent you Raptor Jo?"
My personal high point of my day, some kid was behind me in line and asked if he could see my MF tattoo-so I showed him, then showed him my Raptor tat-he became breathless (no lie!) and asked me if I was on the front page of the paper-I said yes and he said "OMG-I have that paper hanging next to my MF poster in my room!!" He pointed me out to all his friends-then told me how nice it was to meet me. The whole thing just blew my head WAY out of proportion, I thought it was sweet and there is just something about being "someone special" ya know???
OK-back to riding. There had been these 2 seagulls hanging on Gemini ALL day with us, several of the rides were spent screaming at them and later on that night some fool ;) threw an empty water bottle at them to watch them fly. My favorite thing to do was to tell the groups of teenagers that were singing to SHUT THE **** UP!
Oh yea then telling a guest to put his camera away when he was riding. Or when Hooper and I screamed to my fav pr guy when we saw him on the ground below the 1st hill. It is totally thanks to Hooper that I made the 100 laps-by 70 I was DONE-missed Raptor and was so sick of Gemini I wanted to scream. But once the reality sinking in that we could do this--I had to finish. Freaky showed up (Josh) and was our "cheerleader" which helped-despite the fact he kept taking pics at the worst times he was alot of fun to hang with and didnt mind mine or Hoopers antics. We had the crew rooting with us and really being nice to us all day. The best ride?? HAD to be ride 100

I was just exhausted and starving last night when we left, today Im a bit sore (no riding my horses today-forget that) and didnt realize HOW sore till I made that 2.75 hour drive home.....PAIN!! I also have this HUGE bruise on my right forearm and have no clue how I got it!
UCSIGEP-Sucks about the cops--that is why I never speed to CP OR home-I know EVERY SINGLE speed change on the way there and back.
Magnum is Sinking-thanks for the certificates that was so nice of you!
Gemini Hand Smacker-dont you EVER come up with an idea like that again, unless its like the Mean Streak 4 or something.
I can NOT believe I rode Gemini in ONE day what it has taken me last season and this one to get to 100 on MF!! It was awesome seeing my CP buds and meeting some new ones, meeting the Gemini crew and seeing one I already knew from Raptor last year. I cant wait to get my pics back-and dont forget Freaky-you promised to send me the one when we were all done!!

Great TR, Jo! Sorry I didn't join you through the day! I was off trying to see if the girl with me was a Po!nter Girl or not. She is a teacher at my old high school and my mom set us up. She wasn't into the whole marathoning thing, so I thought I'd spend the day with her. So on one hand, I wish I would have stuck around for more laps, but on the other hand I got to hang out with a really cool girl and get to know her. Maybe next time, if there is a next time!

Yes Jo there were a few times between oh 40-60 laps when I was thinking to myself..."THIS IS (%&#)# NUTS!!!....But I am not stopping now because I know that everyone else will do it" Everyone else kept me in it.
And yeah I think I saw that fool throw that water bottle at that seagull also. I was in the blue train behind your train then. Seeing all the first timers scared to death thinking they were going to hit that beam. And then there was that lap with that black girl that blew her whistle on every turn. Coming into the station my words were something like "If I ever ride with you again don't you blow that whistle!!...Bye"

Yeah, i was there, though i only rode gemini a couple times. i wanted to ride other rides....and i dont get to be at CP very often..... I saw Jo..m and my brother sat right ahead of her and sam for a ride or 2 (i was the sttrapping young lad with the blue elvis shirt. mi brother had his homemade "i love cedar point" shirt, with all the coasters written on the back. including Banshee!) it was a good time, and gemi felt real smooth the first ride. probly the best ride of the day

Q-bert, I think I saw, at least your brother, all over the place. I had my Coasterbuzz shirt on. Also, I saw a GTTP shirt in the park, but couldn't get to whoever it was. I think he was with his family. Anyways, sorry I didn't say hi, I didn't see the shirt until I was already passing you. The rest of you all that I met this weekend, great to meet you!

ucsigep- i think i saw you as well. at least a few times during the day. maybe if i start contributing to the threads more often on here, i will be able to meet some more people from the wonderful GTTP. i am going on the 19th next maybe someone will be there....
