Josh I think I saw you on unload dispatch 2 Saturdays ago. Some people couldn't get out of the train and you were just like "push down, pull up, push down, pull up." I believe you were also singing over the microphone too. We said something to you and you commented back.

Yep, that sounds like Josh alright...right buddy?
Millennium Force Crew '05 -- The only ride in the park better than the Bronze Griffin
Many kudos to Josh at Millennium Force, the definition of the word "pumped". :) Undoubtedly the most enthusiastic ride op I've ever seen. Keep working at Millennium Force, because that's the real reason I ride it... non-automated spiels. ;)

well dan, MF can roll back too you know, but if that happens it isnt a good thing :P
Has MF ever rolled back before?
It rolled back before the third hill when they ran it empty in the morning. Thanks to this wonderful event we now have to deal with the god forsaken water dummies in the morning when it is cold out.

Guys, I'd like thank you all for the great comments. The weirdest part is that I've only been on the ride for about 4 weeks now, where one of these weeks was spent at Thunder Canyon. Unfortunately, with school starting very early for me, I'm only going to be able to be at Cedar Point for another week.
Yes, I've had a tendency to sing the "Push down, pull up, push down, pull up" for no apparent reason. It's just funny and people get a kick out it.
If anyone's going to be at the park within the next week, definately say hi to me! CPBound, thanks for saying hi to me earlier today. It was nice to meet you/try to staple you.

It surprises me that they still need the water dummies. I thought the problem at the time of the rollback had to do with the wheels they were using. They had a crazy combination of wheels back then. Anyone remember the nylon wheels that squeaked? Good times.

Well Maybe they still use the water dummies for testing in the mornings. That wouldn't make sence though because I've seen Millennium Force doing test runs without the dummies 90% of the time. I was thinking the same thing though, they might just use those still for the April Months when they are putting the trains back on the track and getting ready for the season.
I thought they heated the underside of the trains somehow on really cold mornings, or am I thinking of some other coaster?
Jeff I don't remember those wheels, we're they obnoxiously loud? I do remember Raptor squawking louder than usual last year after receiving new wheels.

No, they didn't have the "swarm of bees" sound that Raptor's [Mantis] wheels had. That thing was so loud and distinct that you could hear it from Magnum some days. MF's wheels just had this repetitive squeaking noise similar to if you would quickly open and close a door whose hinges need to be oiled.
Josh, nice try, but I've come up with many ways to not get stapled on MF and Dragster. If you've ever been the person who has done the stapling then you also know how it prevent it from happening to you. ;)

We used them all the way up to the first week in June, and I'm guessing as August winds down they will start to use them again. Night maintenence looks at the forecast and then decides how many to put in the train. In the beginning of the season we has about 20 per train, and then by June when it was starting to warm up we were down to about 6...

Jeff I remeber back when MF just opened and on the last turn the train would squeek. It got really annoying after an hour wait.
The sole purpose of the water dummies is to add weight to the trains for the test rides in the morning. When the weather is colder, such as may, early june, september and october, we need the extra weight in the trains. The colder the weather the slower the trains will run. I remember days in may when we would call employees from other rides to fill in a train for the last ride of the night.
I would also like to say thank you to all you enthusiests for your patience with our crew this season. We've been trying to get things going and the past month or so things have been going great. This crew went through a ton of changes early on in the season and even more in the middle of june. We really do have a great crew and we are doing are best to keep the lines moving for you. I'm going to pass on these comments to the crew, because they don't get enough recognition for what they do. Thanks again for the compliments.
Im glad to hear the postive comments... last year we were looked upon as the worst crew in the park thanks to Intamins seatbelt policy... and it doesnt help that my first season at CP ('02), a thread was started saying that my Ripcord crew was the worst crew in the park... haha... made me really feel like a great asset to the park...

The millennium force is probably the most stressful ride to work in the park. I really appreciate this comment as a worker. I try my best at it, but it seems to keep getting shoved back in my face with guest complaints. If anyone has any suggestions...please let me know...

Josh...Why are you so hyper????????
If it's really that bad for you, ask for a transfer to another ride. Or quit. Airing your complaints about your job on a public message board is a good way to have that 'quit' turned into 'fired'.
Not trying to be a jerk or anything, so don't take that the wrong way. There are just a lot of other rides that you can have a fun day on.
The only thing I can say to that is:
Hmmmmmmmmm.......
