I didn't really see another good topic to add this to, and I figured this form could use a topic with a positive sounding title. Anyhoo, I was at the park tonight (July 4th) and decided to hit up Millennium right before closing. I must say, the crew was doing an amazing job. The wait was back almost to the DJ booth and it only took about 30 minutes. On the platform, the crew was seriously busting their butts to to get people in and on their way as fast as they could. This is the first time in two years I've seen the crew hustle like that, and also the first time in two years I witnessed them actually hit interval. In fact, a time or two they had the train cleared and ready to go before the one ahead even reached the station bunny hop. Maybe it was simply a result of the crew wanting to get the heck out of there after a long day, but I really wanted to mention it here so everyone knows that there is still hope. Great job MF crew!

I'd noticed this, too, on Friday. The dispatches were especially speedy on both MF and TTD, and seemed to never break down once (or roll back, in TTD's case).
Thanks, I'll relay the message to the rest of the crew. It certainly is not an easy ride to work, and comments such as these really mean a lot.

Yes! I too agree that the crew is faster in getting the trains dispatched then they were a couple weeks ago! Keep up the good work and watch for me to hit 1,000 soon!

Thanks! 7/4 was actually my first day on the crew and I was having a blast. I was incredibly surprised at how short the line was afer closing (last night was even better).
I ended the night at Unload Dispatch, where I got to do the exit spiels, and people were screaming like crazy. I loved it.
Tony - good luck hitting 1000 and if you see me then be sure to say hi! (Name's Josh, dark hair, bout 6 foot)

I really think that crews like this make Cedar Point what it is. If the crew members do not care, it really effects the whole experience of the guests. I am glad to hear this!

Wow, so that was you Josh? You were doing a really awesome job on the exit spiels. Keep up that enthusiasm, the crew and the guests really need it. You had those trains cheering really loudly, I loved it.

Yup, that was me! Unload dispatch is my favorite position because that's when I get to rev up the crowd. I love how after 5 years it still gets the biggest cheer in the park, and of course I'm going to do my best to maintain that.
If anyone happens to see me, be sure to say hi!

Keep up the good work Josh. I'll be sure to say hi when I'm up there in a few weeks. Have fun man.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Its good to see another Josh on MF this summer. I agree though, Unload Dispatch was always my favorite position. I always loved it when people who were too shy to be on microphone would rotate over me and give me twice the time doing the exit spiel. Oh, and not to put down this years crew or puff up my crew last year at all (because this years crew has really been doing amazing lately), but our little crew of '04 did have our multiple hours of interval on several occasions. Obviously it was quite a bit more difficult as the seatbelt policy had just been put into effect. I do like the fact that controls is allowed to call "ready" this year when the train goes over the final bunny hop... we were not allowed to say that at all last year. Again, great job this year MF crew!

I was there Wednesday and the trains were really flying out of the station. I even saw a few intervals while waiting in line. Way to Go.

Josh, you guys weren't allowed to call "Ready" last year at all? I find that very strange...

It's not like the sound of the train roaring by isn't completely obvious to everyone standing on the platform.
I was at the park 7/7 and MF line was long. I had a freeway stamp and we were done and off the ride in less than 20 minutes that day.
The crew is doing a great job this season! Keep up the great work!

Yes... the train flying by the station does make it very clear when the train is "ready", but no we weren't allowed to call ready. This was mostly because of the seatbelt issue, and we didn't want to make the situation any more uncomfortable by seeming that we were rushing people.

That makes perfect sense. So why'd they change the rule?

No idea... it seems a lot has changed in Park Op since last summer...

I was there on 07/06 and both the queues were filled, but man the line kept moving, that crew is always working their butt off. Good Job Millennium Force crew.
Haha, I was off that day, but still around the park. It was INSANE that day. All I rode was Paddlwheel Excursions! Corkscrew had a 1 1/4 hr wait!
