Breakers: Front desk - Kristen(?). I hope I have that right. I was having a problem with my credit card company Saturday and my cell phone wasn't getting a signal in the Breakers lobby. She offered to let me use her cell phone (different company) to make the call. Big wow!
Breakers: Ship's Store - Chris, a supervisor I presume. I didn't actually meet this one, but s/he solved a problem for me. I bought eight batteries there this afternoon and some were apparently dead. Neither the red tag nor blue tag working could help me without help from above, but Chris OK'd the refund with no hassles.
Ride ops: Enjoli on the Gemini - Got caught up on the platform in a wicked storm Monday, and we got into a good conversation about the park, Gemini, "dumbest question ever", Detroit, that annoying friend that she brought to the park a couple of years ago... etc. that helped quickly pass the time until the ride was operational again.
Ride ops: Tomasz on Blue Streak - Saturday, earlier storm. We were the only ones left that were in line but not on the platform. So instead of waiting in the rain, we camped out under the track near the entrance and chatted a bit.
Servers: Courtney at Midway Market - Had lunch there early today and no drink went unfilled and no empty dish stayed on the table. Midway Market's food has decreased a bit in quality over the past couple of years, but their staff is always top notch.
Park ops: An individual who shall remain unnamed that gave me a "tip" on how to squeeze into Raptor. Hopefully this person will recognize him/herself and know that I appreciate the effort. Don't want to cause trouble.
Bartenders: Brandon from Palmyra at Famous Dave's. Had lunch there yesterday and had a good conversation about how he came to work there and how he got from Central PA to Sandusky. Quick conversation, but always nice to run into someone from "back home".
Bartenders: Matt(?) at TGIFriday's. Stopped in for a couple of beers after the park closed on Sunday. Very friendly. Would be the perfect bartender if he could get Rob to crack a smile.
Coliseum Arcade: Garris - Had just run out of change when I needed it, but got up on the skee ball machines and diligently buzzed until someone finally got the hint and came over to replenish him.
I had many positive encounters during this trip (and a few "thumbs down" where I won't name names), but these folks stood out one way or another. Thanks for doing your part to make it another memorable trip to the Po!nt.

The only thing other than CP that Steelers and Browns fans agree on
I wish I had remembered names but:
There was a merchandise gal at a cart on the main midway near IMAX that was just getting down with some of the midway music. She was cute.
The kids dancing in front of Johnny Rockets were fun to watch and looked like they were having a blast.
The kids on the antique cars really played it up to my son. Make my kid happy and you have won me over.
A nice gal, from somewhere overseas, was working in Kiddie Kingdom. Though she was a little reserved due to her language she really was trying and she gets an A for effort.
The example of the cell phone is really something. I wonder whether the employees are really allowed to have their cell phones while they are working but either way it was a classy example of going the extra mile for a customer.
Duane, you can email various departments on the Cedar Point website. I would urge you to let their supervisors know they were doing a good job. We all need that from time to time.

They have always been courteous, helpful, and hard-working. Also, in the 50+ times I have gone through that gate for Joe Cool, they have been there, working hard to inform all of the guests of the procedure, making a speedy entry, and working hard to get everything ready for the start of the day.
I just thought that after all of these years, they deserve some applause... and I am sure that I am not the only one who remembers these three 'little ole' hardworking gals.
Rafal at the Soak City cabanas---he took very good care of us, making sure we had what we needed.
Scott at the Midway Market---we had three tired kids, and he managed to help perk all of them up. Of course, the sugar doesn't hurt.
The White Water Landing crew---efficient loading, and great guest contact.
The Iron Dragon crew---ditto.
The Johnny Rockets crew. I know folks have knocked service here in the past, but this year seems to be much better---even during the dance breaks, there are still people taking and delivering orders, and service seems both more efficient and more gracious.
Scott at Camper Village (and, incidentally, PointBuzz) who helped a late arriving family member meet up with us.
The park ops office for suggesting a laminated parent swap pass. What a great idea!
