I'm sure most of you remember what the deciding state was in 2004.

...if this ride flips and flops a lot, they could always name it John Kerry the ride.

You could name it after any politician if the new ride does that.

Thank the Lord, Bush out in a few years. I cant wait for him to get out of office. When the "people" put in a (Democrat) Evan Byah, things will change and change is what we need!!!!!!!

Can we talk about Cedar Point please?

Mechanical Engineer: Dont mess with us, we design your coasters.

Yeah we can, Cedar Point is the best place on earth I think it is next in line after Heaven. There I talked about Cedar Point. Happy?

Sorry, you can't bring up Bush without any kind of comment on our country's status. It's sad to see and I want to see the source of the problem leave ASAP.

Anyway, CP is still building another ride I hear. :)

Well getting back on topic would be nice ;).

But it's sad that I loose respect more and more for democrats everyday, bash everything they can without anything to back it up :). (ps3 fanboys?).

Just don't say he's the problem, because like it or not, if we were getting murdered by the thousands, wouldnt you want some help ;)

Only thing i like bush for is he had the Balls to send our boys go over to Iraq and get the S.O.B (not the ride). But it is time for them to come home the job is DONE!

They will never leave Iraq/afganistan, there will always be small numbers over there, look at korea.

And with the recent killing of ...no clue how to spell his name. I don't think we are leaving, plus I doubt when a new president comes in they will pull EVERYBODY out, I doubt that would happen :)

Rather have Bush than Kerry simply put.

So when I rode Dragster, that wasn't a light from the Christmas Tree I saw? ;)

you guys are unbelievable. Enough with the politics. Its pretty pathetic that you people somehow managed to bring this stuff up on a site that was made for the sole purpose to discuss CP. Take this crap somewhere else, off of this site please and get back on track with what this post was origionally made for.

It's not completely off the subject if you related this to how many american families can't even afford to visit a great amusement park such as CP, when more high paying jobs have left the country, little to no health care available, and when the gas prices are sky high. Sure the park dropped admission price this year, but I don't think it will make that much of a difference.

Personally, I'd like to have a president who doesn't make up his own words and can speak a whole sentence without forgetting what he's talking about. Yeah, he had the balls to go against against most the country and most of the world and start this whole mess in a country that cannot stand on its own two feet. It's like going into the jungle and trying to start a civilized government with all the animals. It just won't work. We've caught Saddam and al-Zawahri and what has it done? Absolutely nothing. We're stuck there now. I mean my cousin went there twice and now hes home and absolutely insane.

This year:
Maverick: 5
MF: 4
TTD: 2
Skyhawk: 5

Reading this kind of stuff here brings me down.

We all have our strongly felt opinions about politics, self included. But please, can you just take it somewhere else?

I was at CP days after September 11th for Millenium Madness. My whole family went. We almost didn't go, because of the trauma and despair we were all feeling. We went anyway, and I'm glad we did.

Maybe some of you readers were there as well, and can remember what it was like. The sense of close-knit community, of solidarity bonding the few hundred people who showed up. How you could catch the eye of a stranger and you would both nod, not needing to say anything, just getting it. I've never loved that park more than I did that day.

The first ride we got on was Raptor, and as we climbed the lift hill I was experiencing guilt and even shame, at being here -- on a joy ride! -- so soon after this enormous national loss. But as we swooped and took that graceful leftbound curve into the loop, all of that faded away. We were here, my whole family, together, doing something we loved, and just for a few minutes we could forget -- or at least not dwell upon feverishly -- the troubles of that horrible week.

That's what amusement parks are for. To make you feel good even when things are lousy. To make you feel alive even when that test came back positive, even when your father's shaking hands are worsening, even when she left and you still don't know why. That's why I love Cedar Point.

And that's why this junk doesn't belong here.
