i worked at cp from 85-87. reading ur posts makes me remember all the fun i had. was group leader of thunder canyon in 87. back then the drinking age was 19 so louies had quite a turnout all the time! anyone from that time who might see this say hi! and to all those still working at the point, have fun!!! oh, whats employee ride night? boy things have changed. ask and i will respond.

Hi T Canyon! I worked thunder last season. I had a blast. Employee ride night is when one of the coasters stays open late one night. After the guest line clears, the employees line up and can ride until they are told "No more rides tonight guys." It's a chance to ride your favorite coasters without waiting in guest lines. Oh, and they call them team leaders now, not group leaders. Louie's still has an amazing turnout. It can be ten degrees outside and still 80 degrees body heat inside!

hey iheart, do they still run all 22 rafts ever? and have you ever heard of when a raft flipped over, happened my year, running empty rafts during a shut down thank god

no, i think the most we ran was like 18 or 19. a few of the rafts were in the woods awaiting repair, some were just sitting on the deck hoping to be repaired. We never had a raft flip, we feared it during E-stops, but luckily it never happened! I am not returning to TC this year. Circumstances didn't go as planned and I'm happily going to Gemini with my good friend Marguerite who also worked TC last season with me. One thing is for sure, nothing can ever be the same as it was the first time around.
