Premier Rides/Gerstlauer

Does anyone know anything about Cedar Fair working with Premier Rides or Gerstlauer? I was just thinking about different manufacturers they have worked with, and can't think of any times these companies have worked together. I think a Gerstlauer Euro Fighter would be a cool fit at Cedar Point.... But I'll save that for another day.

Does anyone think Cedar Fair could/should/would work with these companies?

*I don't want this to be recieved as random speculation/spam. I am trying to ask a serious question, and general seemed like the best place for it.*

Cedar Fair has worked with Gerstlauer, although not on a coaster. Cedar Fair has installed Gerstlauer's Sky Roller (Skyhawk at Canada's Wonderland). Although not a coaster, I hope Cedar Fair installs one of these in all of their parks (including Michigan's adventure, the sixteen person model would be a perfect fit.) I can not give this ride enough praise, it is one of my favorite flats, and I want one closer to home.

Sky Roller Info Sheet

Although not built by Cedar Fair, they own five of Premier Ride's coasters. Although the enthusiast side of me wants to see coasters by these companies built next year in Cedar Fair parks, the practical side of me says we will see Cedar Fair add launched B&M coasters added first. (The enthusiast side of me wants to see that too.)

Interesting thoughts! The Gerstlauer Sky Rollers look very cool and from what I can tell, don't take up too much space! I would love to see the Gerstlauer/Cedar Fair relationship develop more, and hopefully see some Eurofighters at Cedar Fair parks. With Cedar Fair's imagination, and Gerstlauers awesome designs, I could see Eurofighters getting taken to the next level. If you look at the Eurofighter page on Gerstlauer's website ( http://www.gerstlauer-rides.de/products/roller-coasters/euro-fighter-en-US/ ), it even says "everything is possible with the Euro-Fighter"!!!

As for the B&M launched coaster you mentioned, all I have to say is: Ziz Launched Wing Canada's Wonderland 2017!

Nickelodeon universe at MOA built a Euro Fighter for a cost of less than 3 million, so for a park like Michigans Adventure it'd be a great fit. But for CP I think a Gerstlauer Euro Fighter would be a terrible fit, from what I've heard Dare Devil Dive at SFOG has poor capacity so for a park like CP I couldn't imagine it doing any better. Plus CP already has 3 coasters with verticals drops, and Maverick already has a beyond vertical drop. I would however love to see sky Rollers added to all Cedar Fair parks, while I've never been on one they seem like unique thrilling rides.

I got a chance to ride a SkyRoller at CW and I enjoyed it. To be honest it freaked me out when I almost inverted on the thing. I wouldn't mind seeing one built at Point, but I hope they can increase capacity on it.

Their Infinity coasters look like great fits for parks like Dorney, MIA, and Valleyfair. I do not see them at parks like Point, Carowinds, Ki, etc.

Try posting your wish list in this forum I started a while back:

https://pointbuzz.com/Forums/Topic/a-ride-that-cp-doesnt-have--you-wish-it-would#538834

I know that Tony comes on here once in a while. Maybe it'll give the park some new ideas come Family ride addition time, maybe in 2018? Take care.

Thanks! If we come up with a wish list, we will put it there. Right now this is just talking about Premier Rides and Gerstlauer and things we have heard etc.... So I think it can stay in General for now.

Does anyone know anything about Premier Rides lately? It seems like their last big ride was Full Throttle, and they haven't built anything else big since. With Intamin 'dead' for now, Premier Rides seem like the go-to people for a launched coaster. It will be interesting if they start up something really cool soon!

Premier has sold five Sky Rocket models since 2012. Full Throttle was their last full size project.

I don't know if you consider Sky Rocket II models to be "big" rides, but Premier has built four of them since Full Throttle. They currently are building an LSM launch coaster for a mall in Qatar that seems to be a pretty big project.

If they were to build a coaster for CP, I would like to see it be similar to Sky Rocket at Kennywood. Sky Rocket appears to be much less intense than most of the big rides at CP. I think this would appeal to a much larger demographic than many of the other options available.

Loving Maverick since 2007!

That's a very interesting idea maverick master. If there was a Sky Rocket at CP, it could be a 'training' coaster for those not yet ready for Maverick. It would still have launches and inversions, but it wouldn't have the more than vertical drop and wouldn't be as fast. It would be a cool family ride addition. Becaus they don't take up too much room, it could be located near Magnum, where Challenge park was. In the area nesr magnum, the DRY park is pretty much dead, with the only big thing the being Magnum. A Sky Rocket family coaster would be cool!

Oops. I meant 5 sky rocket II models since 2012. There's only 1 sky rocket model yet produced. At any rate, Premier is still in the game.

I think they're all currently constructed, right? Superman, Tempesto, Phobia Phear, Zombie Ride, and Sky Scream.

CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium

Wait a second... Are we talking about Sky Rocket at Kennywood ( http://rcdb.com/8612.htm ) or the Superman: Ultimate Flight/Tempesto Coasters?? I think the Sky Rocket like the one at Kennywood would be a great coaster for people 'training for' but not yet ready for Maverick! It could fit near Magnum. I was never referring to the Tempesto model. Sorry for the confusion. My fault for not specifying!
