Pre-CoasterMania '02 Raptor Jo Style
Got my best friend Mel settled in our hotel room Thursday afternoon and off to CP I went. She opted to "rest up" for CM. Arrived at park around 4:30. First stop Park Plaza to get all the new pins, and a new fanny pack. My beloved CP one wasted, I was kind of sad "retiring" it since it had been to several parks with me, not even including all my CP trips! :(
Stopped in the PR office to say hi to all. I purposely wore my Talon shirt to razz someone there, (but did point out I had on my Raptor necklace!) then I was off to Raptor.
I seemed "unnoticed" during my first 2 flights, then it was like suddenly crew members and guests knew who I was, , so no more just "riding without being noticed" for me! After one of my rides I noticed our famous "Mr Skyward" standing by the entrance so I tapped him on his shoulder and when he turned around I instinctively gave him a hug (I heard Homer saying "doh! " in my head the second I did it, but it was force of habit, I "slipped" remembering who this was!) Said hi to him and asked if he wanted to ride with me. Well yea, of course he would-but my problem was he was all "touchey touchey" now-yikes! When we first got on the line he asked me "where is your husband?" My quick female thinking, I saw someone standing by the exit, pointed at him and said "there-waiting on me". The thing Mr Skyward didn't see was the guy had seen me pointing at him and had turned around to see if there was someone behind him! :) We rode together and yes I DID dish out the $9.00 for the pic! My GTTP buds will get a copy of it soon! The funny thing there was me flying off the ride, telling him I had to go-running to Hot Shots, waiting for picture to come up and when I saw it I turned around and he was RIGHT there and said "there we are!" OK, so much for "sneaking" buying a copy of the pic. :) I managed to safely ditch him the rest of my 4 flights and even left park 30 minutes BEFORE closing (gasp!!) to avoid the gazillion school buses.

Spent ANOTHER $53.00 on CP "stuff" that I am sure I could have done without but just HAD to have anyway.
Found one of those necklace thingys I was looking for, not the right colored one, but black with pink lettering, but far nicer looking the black with red letters one. Blech! Thanks to fellow GTTPer Kay for asking me about this when I saw her CM morning! :) Nice meeting you! :)
