i think it will open up in a few weeks because when i was at cedar point yesterday all the clabels were fixed and it looked ready to run again but the skyhwak has to get inspected by the state and go through a lot of testing before it opens so hopefully in a few weeks

And here I thought the problem was hardware related.

I was at CP on Sunday and I was riding the train. An employee told me it is gonna be taking down. The employees can tease people about rides and many other things too. I like Skyhawk better then Maxair, because it doesn't have shoulder harnesses on it. Keep it there, and don't take it down.

It looked down when we were on Maverick at around 6pm, though we didn't go up close and left the area after riding MS. We didn't hear it running, if we did we would have ran over for a ride. The rain was getting close and we wanted a Magnum ride before it hit. We were 2nd last train before Maggie closed due to rain. Did anyone see SH open, get a ride? It is my favorite flat ride, hope it opens soon (or did).

Great news! Hope to see it running next weekend, as I'll be up for my final visit of the season.

I don't think so guys. When I was there last weekend the right side was missing it's cable, and the boom lift that had been there the week before (bonus weekend) was no longer there.
Sadly, I'm thinking it's done for the season.
So when someone else says they watched it test, days after your last saw it, you dismiss it? They can do a lot in just a few days if the right parts were to come in. Plus, that boom lift could have been off on some other task and brought back at any point in the week. I'm sure Skyhawk is not the only thing it's used for.
These next few days will tell us a lot. If it is indeed testing, then it would appear they are making some kind of effort to open it.
