Power Tower: One of a kind...?

RaptorBoy, I have to agree that Big Shot seems a lot more intense than Power Tower.

Stratosphere reaches a max height of, I believe, 1081 ft above the strip and starts at 921 feet above the strip.  This tower is much shorter than CP's at about 160 or 170.  I can't remember exactally which it is.

The Stratospehere Big Shot is much more "intense" than Power Tower...I just rode it last week and it is now my "favorite non-roller coaster ride". There is nothing in the world like sitting on top of the tower looking off into the distance and seeing the end of Vegas..(we rode at 11:30p.m.) As we were waiting to be shot ...they played Via Las Vegas (Elvis version)..and then we were off. While the ride itself is only 180ft(?)...it seems like you are going into space...

If you are ever in Vegas this is a MUST do...

Why dont they use all the towers. I mean why get a 3 tower structure when you only use 2. I dont know it just seems like its logic

I happen to agree with you Tim. I have been on The Big Shot several times and although CP's PT is great, The Big Shot scares the crap out of me. Normally rides do not scare me and I'll go on anything, but to say that this one is intense is just putting it lightly. Even though the tower itself is not as tall as PT and the shot up is not as far, when you get up there it is nothing but you and an 1100 ft tall view of Las Vegas and the surrounding mountains. The wind gusts way up there also add to the excitement. When you are in Vegas, don't miss out on this one.
