Power Tower Cam

The Power Tower Cam is back online and right now it is covered with ice it looks pretty sweet here is the link http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/webcam/powertower.cfm

All right! Just this morning I was hoping that that cam would get fixed soon! I wonder why it was shut off for so long?

I don't think it was shut off purposefully, it just wasn't working. I know more details about the way it works, but it probably wouldn't be proper to post it.

Actually it has been up for about a week. I have all three cams book marked so I never go to the cam page anymore. So I guess it's good news they have placed it back on the web cam page.

Oh no, an avalanche has buried the Power Tower! All I can see through the webcam is snow! Better go get the blowdryer and one REALLY LONG extension cord! LOL!

I saw it today and the ice was gone and the view is back to normal.

When I looked at it around 4:45 today, the sun setting against the lake made it look like the entire drop was gone! You could see the lift, crest, a lot of sun, and then the 2nd hill (overbank). What a nice view.

I wish they had another webcam, because with the new ride, I like everything that both of them show on Wicked Twister...overall height and upclose detail. Let's each chip in $5 and buy a new one for CP ;-).

I think they will change the Cams around when the season comes around. Right when the season was over the Midway cam was taken down, but I bet it will go back up. (Well I hope)

I wasn't saying that they need any financial help buying a new one (we all know that they can afford one), I was just kinda joking around...That's why I said wish. I am grateful that we have the webcams that we do. Don't get me wrong. I think they're great.

Am I having a directionality problem, because when I look at the web cam, there is no way it can be on Demon Drop right now if it's pointing at WT the way it is. They must have taken the Demon Drop cam and moved it to another location further back in the park.

YES they took the one from the Demon Drop off, probly because all it would do in the winter is sit there and look at the empty midway! So they took it down and moved it to a place that has a little more action in the winter!
