I have to say it always looks like it will be the worst but the best always happens. We left Michigan about 9:00am and got to sandusky about 11 O'clock. We then blew $100 dollars at Meijers for plans of BBQing the whole weekend. Of course we got beer, Margarita, extra stuff. Sunday it was Steak night. Steak marinated in honey tereyake sauce. Monday for lunch was Midway Market in the park and for dinner was BBQ again only this time we did Shish Ca Bobs. We rode Maverick on Sunday and got T-shirts, and the longest wait was the Magnum as I forgot they were only running one train. The line was shorter but the wait was bad on the feet. The staff seemed better than usual exept for Corkscrew crew who took forever transferring their train off only to over shoot it after such an apparent difficult task for them. I have to say I think maverick had more downtime than dragster did. We stayed two nights in Lighthouse point cabin as usual... I wasn't positive so I can't confirm it but I do think housekeeping may have been a little crooked as $$ seemed to be missing. Guess I shouldn't leave my purse in sight of housekeeping staff even if they just drop off towels.........And to finish off the trip report; I had said that every single time we stay at Lighthouse point, I always see a snake while I'm there. I was bummed I had not seen one. The crew and I were walking to the pool during the evening and I was walking barefoot. I stepped on something smooth that moved under my foot and I jumped and looked to see: A snake slithering away! I stepped on a snake and I'm guessing I stepped on his head because he didn't bite me. I love snakes but it gives you the heebies to step on one!

You're seeing the Lake Erie Water Snake. They are all over the place in the Cedar Point area, especially out by the islands. There are a lot of them around the Light House Point pier in the water, though sometimes they like to sunbath on the rocks by the pier.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Esign and I were there on Sat the 26th and we saw about 4 Point Buzzers (so they can tell you guys we DO exist! Ha). 2 hours in line for Mav and a free t-shirt. After about six hours of being soaking wet we called it a day. I'm sorry I can't recall who the 4 are by name. 2 I remember faces as we walked together for a while but their names elude me. The other two I met for only a couple of seconds while they were in line for Mav. Ensign recognized one as having spent time last year on CD All in all it was a short, cold, wet day, but a good day. Mav is worth it.
Do not mess with dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
