In Europe they put the day the month and the year.
For example today's date is 26.2.01
If you ask me writing the date like that is better.

It makes more sense. Smallest increments to largest.
I understand the majority of the world uses this format. Sort of like the Metric System situation... we do it the hard way!
(Note: I've heard the reason we use the "Standard" System is due to the fact that the Metric System was introduced in Britain around 1790, and the young United States were still very anti-English. So, we decided to be the rebellious little kiddies that we still are and keep the old system. ;))

So does this mean they are not tubbing mean streak?
hmmm...interesting. Did they ever officially announce the Frog Hopper, or did that just appear overnight?
Not that this means anything, but I don't think that they ever announce Frog Hopper. Also, I don't think that they ever announced the swan boats (when they were put in) or the climbing wall (last year.)

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
The top of Manits"s track is that orangeishred color, it could be replacement track for it
Has anyone seen any work being done on Thunder Canyon?? I thought they were re-doing the "lift hill" and getting rid of the old board one..
Maybe this is the track for under the "lift"

Actually in this day and age, it would make far more sense to use the "yyyy/mm/dd" format since that makes it a heckuva lot easier to write a sort routine. But that's just too confusing.
And I still say the reason we haven't converted to metric like much of the rest of the world is because there are no truly compelling reasons to put ourselves through that aggravation and expense. I do think we're gradually going to go the way of England, measurement-wise, where eventually both the current system and metric measurements are accepted and widely used, sometimes even together. I don't think we're going to do a Canada-style full-scale conversion anytime soon, though.

Can you imagine the problems with language alone by converting to a Canadian 'full-embrace' style policy?
God only knows, maybe New Mexico would try to secede! =)
If i had to guess the "parts" you saw were really just the old "parts" to the sign from the out of park Coasters on the C-way. If you remember the outer parts around its frame were in the shape of a roller coasters track. But since that sign is now laying in a parking lot in the park, thats my best bet as to what you saw.

It could quite possibly be part of a flat ride. Who knows? That seems likley enough.

Hey and if anyone remembers the article in the Toledo Blade---It was titled "Clash of the coaster titans." It talked all about sfmm breaking the most coaster record and I believe it said that CP talked about getting a small portable coaster to keep the record going but it also said that it most likely won't happen but still if this is becoming true and they decided to get one, then I think they would be able to put one up in 2 months but maybe I'm wrong.

just ~50~ miles away from the greatest amusement park in the world!!
LMAO@CP Schroeder...I like how you were so "innoncent" and threw that in there :)
mikey :)
"They've also poured some 'footers' on the Gemini side of millenium island...maybe a small coaster?"
More detail as to where the footers are..
And.....how big of an area are we talking about here...
and.....is this a ride that is supposed to be secret??? Because if so...CP won't be happy with us...
CP_Schroeder, that's why I think they'll add two more rides to skip that "magic" number. I've thought that since last year. Perhaps they added the Rock secretly in order to skip that number when they add a new ride.
