New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus
Yeah, thats what it shows. It will probably go live after the announcement tomorrow. Appears to be another half-baked CP attempt at an announcement.

I'm in CST and the app countdown is at midnight tomorrow as well.
Is it the same for people in EST?1:06:20:25 now
I'm in EST and yes it is set to midnight as well.
1:02:20:22 to go!
Did anyone else notice that you can barely see anything if you bring your phone really close to your face. Everything becomes blurry and I can't even make out the countdown nor the Cedar Point logo. My gut tells me this VR thing is going to bomb as an experiment.

If you look at the Google Cardboard things, they hold the phone really close to your eyes...but it has a magnifying lens on each eye that adjusts the setup to have the appropriate focal distance. I hadn't realized this, was going to make one, and looked it up..
If you hold it a bit out, and use a card to separate your eyes right along the split, that works better than just looking at it..
The proper lenses look to be about 8 bucks on amazon. The rest you can make yourself using online templates, or pay the 30 bucks for one of the many available models.

Is that for an iPhone or an iPad? Still can't seem to find it.
When you go onto the app store type in Cedar Point and the change the setting to iPhone only and it will show up so you can have it on iPad

We seriously need to make a drinking game for every time XS NightClub disses some random facet of Cedar Point.
The most dangerous enemy is the one you don't know you have.

So the 230ft height was not approved?

I don't see why 230ft would be a problem. There is a ride that is 420ft high in the park.

But SKY is closed and slated to be developed into a sports complex. Surely that's no longer protected airspace since it is inoperable..
Typical government BS. A wiki of the airport shows that the FAA still shows the airport as being open.
They can't change it now. The track has already been made. Ride heights weren't a problem when SKY was operating.

Well just lower the ride 20 feet below ground. Then everyone will get the tunnel they've been demanding.
So the Space Spiral tower, exceeding 300ft in height, was approximately 350ft closer to the airport than the proposed ride. And the new ride would be 360ft away from being 3 nautical miles from the airport. WindSeeker is exactly 3.00 nm from the runway. Power Tower is 3.08 nm from the runway, for comparison.
