Did anyone else notice that you can barely see anything if you bring your phone really close to your face. Everything becomes blurry and I can't even make out the countdown nor the Cedar Point logo. My gut tells me this VR thing is going to bomb as an experiment.
If you look at the Google Cardboard things, they hold the phone really close to your eyes...but it has a magnifying lens on each eye that adjusts the setup to have the appropriate focal distance. I hadn't realized this, was going to make one, and looked it up..
If you hold it a bit out, and use a card to separate your eyes right along the split, that works better than just looking at it..

So the 230ft height was not approved?

Typical government BS. A wiki of the airport shows that the FAA still shows the airport as being open.
So the Space Spiral tower, exceeding 300ft in height, was approximately 350ft closer to the airport than the proposed ride. And the new ride would be 360ft away from being 3 nautical miles from the airport. WindSeeker is exactly 3.00 nm from the runway. Power Tower is 3.08 nm from the runway, for comparison.
