POLL: New CP Restaurant

Amen Pete!  I like the way you think.

"This is So not Illinois."

Tony Packo's does sound great! Especially since its only located near Toledo!

I agree with ProgRay, a Cracker Barrel would be a perfect addition to Cedar Point, especially in Frontier Town.
How about a Cedar Cafe' Bar/lounge.

kanda like club in L.A.

Got to love the Tony Packo's idea.
I agree with Pete in a way, I mean amusement parks used to be all about the ballrooms and the music guests. I know that that was a long time ago and things have changed, but I think it could be open like 2 days a week so it doesn't get to old. Have a boardwalk from CP then have a SEPERATE bar and a big dance floor and bandstand, they could have a band that could take requests and stuff, it would be for the older (21+) guests to enjoy themselves! Just an idea!

I also like the idea of Timmy's, having an open air food court with connecting international food stands that forms a almost closed circle. And have a fountain in the middle and tables and landscaping all around it. And have the flag of that country on top of its food stand, and the whole thing be shaded by trees. Just an idea! Theres 2 ideas for ya!

How about a purple food restaurant?

The adult after-hours scene doesn't exist, and that's one of the few things that sucks about the place. Sure, the three or four people we'll crash with for a weekend will bring a case of beer to slam in our Breakers room, but it just isn't the same, especially considering the amazing atomsphere outside on the beach. Imagine the beach side of bubbles expanded and open late, which is fairly isolated from the hotels (in case noise is a concern). That would honestly be good enough for me, provided there was music.

Friday's is just too damn crowded considering the resorts are near capacity most of the season.

Since I'm a parrothead, Pete's idea of a caribbean themed bar appeals to me.  What a blast that would be for Christmas in July!

Does anyone remember the Surf Lounge in the Breakers.  I believe it featured dancing and live entertainment in the 60's.  I only visited the Surf once during my years of employment, as it was always off limits to employees.  I remember it being small, musty smelling with a very limited selection of liquor.  The only reason to go there was for the souvenir glass with the Surf logo, and of course because it was against the rules.  I'm surprised it wasn't replaced with a similar but updated concept.  It's a niche that remains to be filled.

How about a mexican food restaurant...one with GOOD mexican food, not the stuff you get at los gatoes in frontier town.

"Uh, millrace?   That's the Midway Market!

Yes, but something that doesn't require the kind of commitment that Midway Market needs to get your money's worth.

Healthy food obtained as quick and easy as picking up an order of french fries.

The one time that my wife and I went to SFO, over in the old Sea World side they had an area where they were serving Cajin food and had a great band playing. We really enjoyed sitting there in the setting sun, drinking a beer, and just relaxing. It seems to me that this could be incorporated into the above Caribbean and/or international food court area.
There is a new place in Kalamazoo called Rumrunners. It is the second one opened. (I'm not sure, but the first one might be in Flint) It features dueling pianos. I haven't been there yet, but I have heard it has been very busy and has a great atmosphere. I think that would be perfect on the beach.

I wonder if Friday's has some sort of exclusivity clause in their contract?

Planet Hollywood -  Let's look at other resort areas.  They have Hardrocks, Planet Hollywoods, and House Blues.  CP needs a huge player.

If I'm going to drop $50+ bucks on a meal I want it to be in a name brand joint.  No home made brand.

There is/was a "Rumrunners" in Cleveland for years. It's not an original name.
