Do you have a Cedar Point Tradition that you must do every trip?
Is there something you do or someplace you go as soon as you arrive?
What about the end of the day / your last day, is there a special attraction or meal you always do before you leave the Point?
Share your CP Traditions here.. Maybe we'll help to create new ones for other GTTP'ers.

If you get rid of the square wheels on Mean Streak, There will be no mean left in the Mean Streak. Are we going to call it Streak now? KEEP IT AS IT IS!

Be wary of falling shoes while waiting in line for Raptor
Jared, we always get that darn cheese on a stick at the Space Spiral too.
Another tradition is saying how much we miss the Earthquake and Pirate Rides.
We also play a game of Chicago Coin's Baseball and a few other hard to find classics.
We come back after leaving.

Tim, who hopes to work at Cedar Point one day and understand half of this site.
I always like to visit the beach and Breakers, especially the rotunda! One tradition I plan on doing when I have kids is to take thier picture next to a statue every year, like the Native American statue in Breakers. That way it will be interesting to see how much they have grown compared to the statue!

Virtual Midway

Back in the 70's, our "last ride" tradition was always the Mill Race.
Now, on the first day of our three-day stay, we hit every coaster in the park. At 5:00 that day, my 61-year old mother insists on getting a picture of the whole family (about 25-35 of us, depending on the year) outside the Breakers.
Hopefully starting a new tradition with the Father's Day Red Garter meet.

I don't know if it's a tradition, so much as exploiting a little-known secret. We usually will grab lunch or drinks at the refreshment stand in Kiddie Land. The lines are rarely very long, and they have most of the park-type goodies you're looking for at lunch time, and it tends to be pretty fresh. It's cool to get your lunch and watch all the poor saps on the main midway in those huge lines.

At the turn of the Millenium......there were signs...
Opening day... I get to the park early enough to watch them raise the flag out front.. Then head to Mantis...
Closing night.. I do the same after my last ride..

When I was a kid, and staying at the Breakers, we always got a bag of french waffels to take back to the room, and then rode the Sky Ride as the last ride to see the midway at night, and as transportation to make for a shorter walk. The Father's Day Red Garter meet is a great new tradition. I'm planning to be there, maybe after a few beers I'll even do Karaoke.

It's very hard to drink all day...
